*Ian pulls out a wad of Jamaican bills and places it inside the black folder. He stands up, and goes around the table to pull Melodee’s chair out. Ian grabs her up in a full body embrace, and kisses her earnestly. Melodee pretends to hug him tightly as she uses his dark shirt to dry the spittle again.

Shortly after they arrive outside the restaurant, Frowzy pulls up to the curbside. When the doors open, marijuana smoke billows out. Frowzy eyes are mere slits as he smiles and nods at the cozy couple.*

Frowzy: Whaa gwaan mi yout? Oonu gwaan heasy? What’s next in your plans?

Melodee: Mi dere yere mi bwoy.

Ian: Frowzy can you take us back to my hotel? We are going to enjoy the lounge, and then go dancing aroud 11 or 12 at Margaritaville. You are more than welcome to join us man.

Frowzy: Mi criss star. Mi can come back fe oonu. Mi ago collect more fares huntil oonu ready. Respect.

Ian: Okay…Irie! Respect. Zeen! *leaning to whisper in Melodee’s ear* I want you sit closer to me, is that okay? My lap would be perfect, but I will settle on our legs at least grazing the other’s for now. *Ian shoves his wet thick tongue into Melodee’s ear and slurps loudly.*

Melodee: *Melodee pulls away from his sloppy ambush, and plasters a fake smile on her face.* Of course, I am happy to accommodate your request Mr. Royale. *Melodee slides closer to Ian, and silently gags at the ear full of saliva.* Is that better?

Ian: Much better. Look baby. I was thinking that we could spend the entire day tomorrow shopping. I want you to put the bride to shame. We will find the perfect dress, shoes, jewelry, bag, everything. Then, we can come back to the hotel for a day of pampering. You can get a facial, get your hair done, and then join me for full body massages. I will come and pick you up as soon as I get the car. How does that sound?

Melodee: Are you serious Ian? I couldn’t. Why are you being so nice to me? What does this mean?

Ian: It simply means that I know how to treat a real lady. You are the entire package Melodee. Your class overshadows your beauty, if that is even possible. You know how to treat a man of my stature, and I enjoy being with you. I want you to know that I am very interested in getting to know you better, but I will let you lead our interactions. If you wish to go slow, I will wait. One thing I do know, is that I must have you, one day. You are the woman I have been looking for all my life. Melodee: Excuse me for a minute Ian. It will not take long. Bumbocl**! *Melodee slides away from Ian for a little privacy. She doesn’t worry about Ian understanding her conversation, so she talks freely* Ah whaa? Whaa yuh call mi fe Shotta?

Delmar: Why mi ear sey yuh gwaan town like yuh nuh have a man? Yuh tek mi fe bloodcl** joke?

Melodee: De lass time mi check, mi nuh have nuh man cuz mi man a bawl hout another b**** name inna mi bed! Mi knoa nuff times yuh give mi bun Shotta, but yuh neva bring dem come a we bed! Chat bout! Yuh tek mi fe a bloodcl** joke star. Mi ago come back fe de rest of mi ting dem when yuh go a wuk. Nuh bodda call mi phone agen wid pure phockery zeen? *Kiss teet* *Melodee releases the call, and begins sulking angrily.*

Ian: *Ian slides over to her, and takes her hand in his.* Is everything okay precious? What was that about? I’m sorry for intruding. You don’t have to answer that.

Melodee: I do not want to think about that call, or let it ruin our night. *Melodee drapes her legs over Ian’s leg, and snuggles into him. She places a series of small delicate kisses on his lips, and cups her hands around his handsome face. Ian places a possessive arm around her waist, and let’s his hand drift shamelessly to her butt. Melodee feels a slight twinge of guilt for what she is about to do. She can’t help feeling that she is cheating on Tran.* So are we still on for tomorrow? I hope you don’t find me too forward, but I think we can get an early start if I stay with you tonight.

Ian: *Ian studies her face, and immediately begins smiling at his luck. He picks her up and places her in his waiting lap.* I do not find you too forward baby. I’ve been silently praying that you would say those exact words. We don’t have to do anything you are not comfortable with Melodee. I want you terribly, but I can wait until you are ready.

*Melodee nods her head as tears spring forth in her eyes. Melodee blinks rapidly in an effort to control their escape.*

Frowzy: Yo mi yout…oonu back at de Riu. Whaa time mi come back fe yuh?

Ian: *Looks up from Melodee’s heaving bossom for the first time, and notices that the car has stopped moving.* Yo man! You the sh** dog! Thanks. Here is a little something something for yo pockets man. Peep this. Let me call you…when…ummm…we are ready. I’m going to take my little shorty to the room, and help her relax for a little while. You feel me? He-he-he *nudges Frowzy cockily in a silent male bond*

Frowzy: Respect mi yout. Walk good. *Palms the money greedily, and kisses teet at Ian’s childish enthusiasm.*

*Ian kisses Melodee’s head dismissively and walks toward the front desk of the hotel. He can’t believe that Melodee managed to distract him from his unfinished business with Toya. When she mentioned the name Mya, it brought back to the reason he came here in the first place.

Melodee glances at Ian with irritation, not really paying attention to what he said. She is trying not to argue with Tran over the phone, but he calmly explains that he will continue to call her phone until she talks to him.*

Re: forbidden fruit...I don't get it either. I know we had this convo in the yardie thread a long time back and some women said that it isn't a prob for their hubby and others won't even think about it. GOODNIGHT! *Melodee stalks to the hotel lobby’s entrance. She flips the phone closed, forgetting that Tran was still on mute.*

Ian: Huh? What? Wait. Hold on Melodee! Please don’t leave! I’m sorry! Sh**! PHOCK!!! Melodee listen!

*Ian drops the receiver at the front desk, and runs after Melodee. Melodee ignores his calls and shouts for forgiveness. He sprints up to her, and grabs her arm forcing her to stop and turn around. Melodee draws back her free arm in an attempt to slap him.

Ian blocks her from hitting his face, and grabs her wrist forcibly.*

Ian: WHOA! Nobody hits this face baby girl; I don’t care how fine you are. We both need to calm down a little. It was a horrible mistake on my part. Now, will you please let me talk to you? I’m sorry for yelling at you Melodee. I got upset with the front desk clerk, and I was still upset when you came up. I’m sorry. By no means was my ire intended for you Jamaican Gem. You have been the best thing to happen to me on this entirely repulsive trip.

Melodee: I don’t care who you are, what you have or what you do for a living. No man ever talks to me with that tone do you understand? You were rude and obnoxious, totally at odds with the persona I witnessed earlier. What did the clerk possibly do to cause you to raise your voice that loud? And, for your information, I did go toward the bar to wait for you. I still heard your tirade over the partygoers.

Ian: I admit that I wasn’t entirely nice to the clerk. But, a man of my stature and business acumen, is used to people jumping and asking how high when I speak. I work in a fast-paced environment where repeating yourself can cost you invaluable seconds toward a closing trade on the market. So, I have been conditioned to have little to no tolerance for slow and inept work performance. Again, I apologize because my anger should not have been directed at you. You were simply concerned about my well being and I snapped your head off for no reason. How can I make it up to you? Damn Ian man! This is the second time in one day that you have apologized to a woman. *With that thought, he thinks of Quinisha and her number scribbled on his chest in black Sharpie permanent ink. Ian was unable to remove the ink from his earlier shower. He didn’t think he would have the possibility of sleeping with Melodee this early into their date.* Come on Melodee, you have to admit, we have had a wonderful date up until now. Please don’t let my barbaric actions ruin our otherwise perfect night.

*Ian wraps his fingers in between Melodee’s fingers, and gently pulls her toward him. He kisses her forehead and her lips.*
