I'm so paranoid about going into labor looking like a swampmonster I'm sitting here plucking my eyebrows and somehow I managed to change my toenail polish yesterday. Can you tell I have nothing better to do?

Have you ever heard of people who have work done down there...makeup and waxing and all sorts of stuff right before delivery so that in the film of their delivery everything is looking good

Swampmonster. Don't feel bad. I once apologized to a resident at the hospital who was attending to me on a hot summer's day. I was like sorry if I am all sweaty and smelly. He asked what is wrong with women folk and told me that when his mom went into labor with him in the Phillipines, she got into the shower, took a shower...Lotioned her body to kingdom come. Sprayed perfume EVERYWHERE! Put leave in conditioner in her hair, got dressed and THEN woke his dad to go to the hospital.

I have watched too many episodes of deliveries on TLC and Discovery Health and the last thing I want is to be documented looking busted and beat up and have my son say "Mummy - whappen to yuh?" when he sees the pictures and/or video. I remember my mom leaving for the hospital to have my little bro and she looked great - no makeup or things like that but you could tell she was taking care of herself.

I don't know why the hell they named the dog Cheddar - especially a female dog!

My son will be grandson # 3 for my mom. My sisters son is 4 and my brothers son (likkle man) is 4 months.

He was 9 lb 7 oz born, and SIL pushed him out like he weighed two pounds

I don't understand wny a man would wanna get that on camera - seems like their biggest concern is the pums getting back down to normal...so to tape it in it's "birthing glory" makes me go

Hubby watched a show with me and they showed the unedited birth - when the baby began to crown he looked nauseous

Re: forbidden fruit...I don't get it either. I know we had this convo in the yardie thread a long time back and some women said that it isn't a prob for their hubby and others won't even think about it. I don't get it either...whenever I talk to hubby I never get a real answer. I am guessing it is a hygeine type of problem...not sure though...

I heard that it is only Rasta men that won't do it My hubby loves the "forbidden fruit"
