*Fitz and Toya wake early on Friday to run last minute errands for their wedding. Toya decides to retrieve all of her personal effects from the hotel, and move them to their home. Fitz carries all of her luggage to the car, while Toya leaves a note for Mya.

When Toya gets to the lobby, Fitz is waiting with a blindfold. He puts the blindfold on her and carefully walks her to his car.*

Toya: What’s going on Fitz? Where are you taking me?

Fitz: Baby, I have a little surprise for you this morning, and I didn’t want you to guess our destination. So, no peeping okay.

Toya: Okay. I hope this surprise includes food; I’m famished!

Fitz: Just sit back and relax. You are in strong and capable hands.

Toya: Actually because of my big mouth, I haven’t been in those strong capable hands in quiet a while. I’m not sure I will be able to keep from placing those strong capable hands all over my body before Sunday.

Fitz: Trust me. These strong capable hands miss being all over that luscious sexy body more than you will ever know. Our wedding night will be explosive.

Toya: I hope so. You are serious about making me keep my request. I love you baby.

Fitz: I love you too Toya. We are almost there sweetie.

Toya: Yeapie! I can’t wait.

*Fitz stops the car, and walks around to open Toya’s car door. He grabs her hand and gently pulls her from the car. Toya stumbles a little in an attempt to find her balance. Fitz sweeps her up into his arm, and carries her. He deposits her into a chair, and tells her to remove her blindfold. Toya removes the blindfold and blinks. She surveys her surroundings, and is amazed at the stunning view. Fitz arranged for her to eat breakfast on the beach. The table for two is arranged beautifully inside a small gazebo that juts out over the ocean. Fitz’s friends had placed flowers in the center of the table, and all over the gazebo. There were rose petals on the ground leading to the gazebo. Toya reaches out to hug and kiss Fitz. A waiter comes out to take their order. Fitz and Toya stare into each other’s eyes, and hold hands across the table. They enjoy a quiet breakfast as the ocean crashes softly on the coastline beneath them.

Their wedding photographer shows up, and immediately begins capturing pictures of the couple. He instructs Toya and Fitz to be natural because he wants candid shots for their engagement photos. Toya had no clue that Fitz had arranged for a photographer to get engagements pictures. She had mentioned that she wished they could do them, but had put the thought out of her mind because of the short timeframe. Toya smiled brightly because so far Fitz had kept each of his promises and delivered a lot more.

Fitz walks over to Toya and holds out his hand. He brings it to his lips and then pulls her out of her chair. She walks into his arms, and they dance to the music in their hearts. Toya kisses Fitz passionately. He wraps her in his embrace, vowing to always keep her safe and happy. They pose for more pictures, and then head off to take care of other items on their to-do list.*

Tradee: Wake up beautiful Empress. You can’t sleep the day away because you have to feed our baby.

Mya: Oh God! Please don’t mention food. I’m going to be sick. *Mya leaps from the bed and dashes to the bathroom. She comes back to bed after brushing her teeth and washing her face.* It must be all the spicy food I’m eating.

Tradee: I ordered room service. Let me help you get comfortable baby. Will you stop fidgeting and let me do it?

*Tradee fluffs Mya’s pillows, and kisses her forehead. He pulls the bed linen up and tucks it around her. Then, Tradee pours her a cup of hot peppermint tea. When she finishes sipping the tea to calm her stomach, he begins hand feeding her slices of fresh fruit and cheese. Mya tells him that she is stuffed and can’t eat another bite. Tradee asks if she needs anything else, and excuses himself to the balcony to light a spliff when she tells him no. Mya dozes off immediately, hugging a plush pillow.

While Tradee enjoys the gentle breeze coming off the water, he thinks about how fast he and Mya fell for each other. Tradee wonders what the future holds for them, and how will he go back to his regular existence when she leaves. Will she rely on another man to help her through the pregnancy? When would she come back to see him? Tradee doesn’t want Mya to leave, but he can’t make her stay either. He is scheduled to go back to work in two weeks. His job as a truck driver takes him all over the island, with him being gone from St. Ann for days at a time. If Tradee asked Mya to stay longer, would she be okay being at his home without him. His home is by no means as lush as this hotel, and she may actually detest it.

Tradee wonders if she still wants to re-twist his locs. He jumps in the shower and lets the water cascade over him from head to toe. His locs hang loose and free around his waist, heavy with the weight of the water.

Mya wakes up from the sound of water running. She is ready to see more of the island, and tired of sleeping. Mya walks into the walk-in shower with her man. He is leaning on the wall with his head tucked between his outstretched arms. The water is flowing all over Tradee’s masculine body. Mya’s heart swells with the love she feels for him. She wraps her arms around his waist, and kisses his back.*

Mya: Hi Baby.

Tradee: Whaa gwaan Empress.

Mya: I want to go exploring. As much as I love being locked away here, making love to you, I feel like I’m missing Jamaica.

Tradee: I can take care of that. What do you want to see?

Mya: I’m not sure…everything. I haven’t taken one single picture the entire time. I can get copies from Toya. But, I want my own memories as well.

Tradee: Okay. Babes, I was hoping you could re-twist my locs tonight. Do you mind?

Mya: I’d love to baby. What do you use on them?

Tradee: Beeswax and jojoba oil. I’m going to let them air dry while we are out.

Mya: Okay. Do we need to pick some up, or did you bring it with you.

Tradee: I have it in my bag. Are you sure that you will be up to it? It takes some time.

Mya: Love is patient…love is kind. *smiles and hugs Tradee’s waist*

Tradee: What did I do to deserve you? *kisses Mya’s forehead, tip of her nose, and her stomach*

Mya: You better stop right there, or we will not be going anywhere. Ha-ha!

Tradee: Mya. Empress we need to talk zeen?

Mya: Whoa, that sounded serious. What’s wrong?

Tradee: Nuff ting ah gwaan fe we. I’m sorry. I mean, a lot of things have happened between us in a short period of time. We need to talk about what we plan to do when your vacation is over. I want you to stay, but I understand that you have obligations back home. Mya I don’t want another man taking care of you or my baby. Promise you will come back.

Mya: Travis, I love you too. I do have some things that I have to take care of at home. I wish that I could stay with you too. But, I have to get back for a couple of modeling gigs that are local. Then, I have to fly to Europe. I have a pretty busy schedule for the next couple of months. I promise that I will come back when things calm down a little. I need you to trust me and have faith in us. I’m not letting another man take care of me. You are the only man I want in my life.

Tradee: Alright Empress. Mi criss. I have to run some errands on today or tomorrow. Are you okay if I have to leave you for a couple of hours? I won’t be long. But, I have to take care of something very important.

Mya: Oh…okay. I-I…sure I’ll be okay. Travis, can I ask you a question?

Tradee: *He turns the water off since they have both showered, and the water is turning cool.* Yeah man. Whaa gwaan?

Mya: You have been really wonderful and attentive since we met. But, I’m concerned that you haven’t mentioned work at all. Do you have a job? And, why haven’t you taken me to your home? Is there another woman?

Tradee: Nuh man. I have a job; I’m a truck driver. The company I drive for had to give me three weeks of holiday because they had a problem with insuring their fleet of trucks. I drive all over the island, and I am rarely in St. Ann during the week. I will be happy to take you to my home. It is modest, but it’s mine. There is not another woman in my life. I am a simple bachelor, in love with a high profile model.

The local car rental company brings the requested gunmetal gray S-class convertible Mercedes rather quickly. Tradee smiles enthusiastically at the thought of driving the luxury vehicle. He opens Mya door, and walks around to the driver’s side. They drive off toward his home.

Tradee tries to calm his driving habits because Mya begins squealing and grabbing for some form of stability. She closes her eyes and a wave of nausea overcomes her fear. Tradee pulls the car off the road, and holds Mya’s hair back as she looses her small breakfast. He helps her clean up, and drives away slowly. Impatient drivers honk and overtake them because he refuses to do over 30 mph. Mya puts her head back, and prays that she doesn’t get sick again.

Tradee pulls into a local grocery store, and leaves Mya in the car resting. He comes out with water, tea and a pregnancy test.*
