Oh you sound so happy! I am so happier for you cause I know that feeling of coming home from a long days work to see him in y'alls apartment is such a great feeling. My husband told me that when I stayed with him and he came home from work. He would just sit and watch me moving around the house doing my daily routine and be amazed at the fact that I was actually there with him.

Your man sounds very sweet and considerate. So happy for you. (L)

*While waiting to board his flight, Ian checks his documents once again, and the Toya’s itinerary that he printed from the computer’s browser history. She and the ####### Mya were staying for 10 days at the Royal Plantation.

Ian thought about how much he detested Mya, and how he would love to bring her down from her self-erected pedestal. Truth me told, he had been quiet enamored with her, until she turned down his proposal of indulging each other. He thought that she would be down for whatever because his pockets were deep, and he was not a bad looking man to boot. Mya told him that she would cut his balls off and hand them to Toya the next time he tried stepping to her. She cussed him out for thinking that she would ever hurt her best friend, especially with an “ill-fitted match of xy chromosomes” such as he. Ian’s mind flashed back to the moment she slapped the taste from his mouth, and sashayed away from him while telling him to kiss her a** with sign language.

Ian vowed to find a way to break their friendship once and for all. He had even tried to get nude pictures of Mya so he could describe her body intimately to Toya in an attempt to tell her Mya tried to seduce him. Ian had to admit the witch’s sh** was on point. Mya didn’t leave one stone unturned in keeping her private life private. He**, he had a good mind to go along with Toya and marry her. Then, he could forbid her from allowing Mya into their home (unless she was sharing their bed). He discreetly adjusted his growing bulge at the thought of having Mya at his mercy. If he ever got the chance, he would make her beg, borrow and steal for another piece of his d***! She would eventually remember and hate the day she patted her fat…beautiful…firm…shapely a** in dismissal of him.*

Overhead speaker: May I have your attention please. Passengers of flight 358 headed to Montego Bay, Jamaica, we regret to inform you that there has been a slight delay in departure time. Flight 358 en route to Montego Bay, Jamaica will depart at approximate 10:30 AM. Again, flight 358 en route to Montego Bay, Jamaica will depart at 10:30 AM instead of 8:45 AM. We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused you. Thank you again for flying with NWA.

Ian: YOU HAVE GOT TO BE PHOCK***…hhhrrumm.*Mentally attempting to calm himself* Excuse me. Miss, um…I think there has been a miscommunication of some sort. Did I hear you say there was a delay with my flight, flight 358 to Jamaica?

Airline rep: Yes, you heard correctly. Unfortunately, the delay is beyond our control. We are taking every measure to alleviate any undue stress or inconvenience to our passengers. *She smiles sweetly at this ultra-smooth fine and attractive brother. His gleaming Rolex did not go unnoticed, nor did his well-manicured hands.* How you like to be a member of the mile high club with me pappa?

Ian: You don’t seem to understand. I am facing a bit of a dilemma with your unexpected and disturbing news. You seem to be a fairly intelligent woman, so I know that you must understand that not all travelers to Jamaica are there for vacation. I have a very important meeting that I must get to as soon as possible.

Airline rep: batting her lashes at his compliment Well, sir…um Mr.?

Ian: Royale. It’s Mr. Ian Royale, the third.

Airline rep: Well, Mr. Royale the third as I was saying, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies on behalf of NWA. Let me see if I can do something about your obvious inconvenience. May I see your ticket Mr. Royale?

Ian: *hands his boarding pass to the clerk, and smiles* I knew at first glance *reading her name tag*, Ms. Quinisha Honeycombe, that you would take pride in your work ethic and would be thorough and efficient. Thank you for your diligience.

Airline rep: *begins typing feverishly at the computer terminal* There is no need to thank me, may I call you Ian?

*Ian shrugs indifferently. Hoping to end this futile banter with the ghetto chick from He** as soon as humanly possible.*

Airline rep: There is no need to thank me Ian, it’s my pleasure and you have certainly been a real pleasure. *begins flirting in earnest as she casually brushes her open collar in an attempt to show even more cleavage. She hopes he reads all the meaning behind her seductive yet coy smile. She finishes typing on the keyboard, and lowers her voice for his ears only* You will notice that I have upgraded your Economy Class ticket to First Class Business, Ian. The upgrade will also give you access to our First Class Lounge today, and upon your return flight from Jamaica. If you give me about 30 minutes, I can meet you there. My number is at the bottom of the ticket sleeve.

Ian: Wh-What? *mumbling angrily in hushed tones under his breath* Are you phocking kidding me trick? I just told you I had an important meeting I couldn’t miss, and you are talking about an upgrade and meeting your funky a** in the lounge? Does it look like I need your pittance and freebies, or for that matter your sorry stinky ####? The cost of one of my cuff links could buy you a year’s supply of hair weave, you simple hood rat!

I demand a seat on the next flight leaving for Jamaica. You have to have a flight in the next 30 minutes. This cannot be the ONLY flight you offer today to Montego Bay!

I have never been able to get an honest answer to this one. A married Jamaican man once called me his little cho-cho. One person told me it was vulgar and referred to my pums. Another told me that it was a term of endearment...yet another told me that I didn't want to know what it meant.

A told me that he didn't have a clue what he meant by it...but it seemed to bother him. What does it mean? Don't be afraid...I'm tough...I can handle the meaning...even in PM.

Phatty...

There is no vitamin I'm afraid. The divorce is not life altering, in that I have been trying to get it for the last 2.5 to 3 years now. His constant begging to come home was more stressing.

My family life is stressing because our hands are tied concerning his little girl. Neither of us can do anything to get her the help she needs right now. Unfortunately, A and I have had some recent struggles in our relationship because of this. He wants to be a man and take care of things all by himself. He doesn't want me to worry or stress because of the pain I'm in...so he pulled away from me. He stopped communicating with me about it (which is what led to the little breakdown I had).

Our visa journey has not started yet because of my pending divorce. I try to lean on the Lord because without Him, I could NEVER NEVER EVER make it. We will start the visa journey when God directs our path, and orders our steps toward marriage. I stay in prayer that neither of us takes a step without God. We tried to be in control of our relationship, and failed miserably.

Now, we understand that we have to do it God's way or no way. I just ask that you all continue to lift us and his daughter up in prayer. When two or more come together in His name....

the cho-cho thing I have always heard it used as a term of endearment, but I also heard it was vulgar and referred to my pums.

Jawi-all I can say is WOW.....I could never say I understand what you are going through because your shooes are a set I would NEVER be able to fill. Girl always be strong in our lord and savior, he and only he can guide us through our lives. I will keep ou and your family in my daily conversations with him. Keep your head up, and he will provide a way for you.... and for you ex- isn't it hilarious that now things are moving on he is asking to moe back home......I don't know your situation but "cow nuh now di use a him tail til fly tek eh ovah"

I do not wish to share any information about this dead end journey.........I have reached my final destination on this train, and it is time for me to get off.

Jawi,

Sorry to hear about the pain. Hope you feel better soon.

Take care of yourself!

Swirlygirl.

Raspberry Swirl!!!! You disappeared for a minute. How are you? (((((Swirlygirl)))))

Hey Swirly,

Where yuh been? Glad yuh back!!

Blessed

Gill

Hi gals,

Sorry, it's been pretty hectic at work and haven't had much time to do more than catch up with the thread. Boy, you gals are chatterboxes :P Just kiddin'. Love reading the little messages in between installments!

Wow Jawi you are going through a lot.

You are in my prayers (F)

Only more testimony about God's grace and goodness. I don't want to sound like I am complaining or anything, not looking for sympathy. I try to let joy be what I project. I like making people smile or laugh. God will not bring me to something that he won't bring me through.

I have been trying to figure out your version of patwah...what does "dae" mean?

Just wanted to say I love reading the patois. Its helping me understand it more. It'll be the day when I can actually understand when its spoken and hopefully speak it myself.

Don't read it silently. Sound it out. When you hear it as you read it, you will begin recognizing words every now and then in his conversation. Then, you will recognize a phrase. The next thing you know, you ears literally pop and you can understand it. I was like a dope fiend...in everybody's conversation all through town...seeking out people talking...all faas in dem business. I love when Jamaicans are here in Atlanta...chat nuff phockery inna patwah and mi chuckle cuz dem free wid ie...and nuh knoa mi all inna dem business. waaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiieeeeee

That's great advice. It's what I've been trying to do but sometimes it does get hard. I don't have that much experience hearing patois but I do have a knack for imitating accents (yeah, I'm weird like that. When I was younger, I'd pretend to be Irish one day and Welsh the next). What gets me are specific words like the censored ones but I've had help with that now :D

Jawi, I see your name down there so just wanted to say: much respect to ya, you're one strong lady! Hang in there, you know the saying.. Door close, window open.

Take care, everyone.

Edited to add: Man, I would so kick Ian's ugly, rude ####### to hell and back if I ever met him in person.

I demand a seat on the next flight leaving for Jamaica. You have to have a flight in the next 30 minutes. This cannot be the ONLY flight you offer today to Montego Bay!

:o:o Boy this brother is a piece of work!! Someone needs to a put foot in his A** real real deep  Disrepectful son of a biscuit  I sure hope she puts his smart tail right back in the seat he had!! Matter of fact put him in the seat right next to the restroom  and please please please let someone go in there with an upset stomach!!!
