Bwoy ... Go Get Yuh Moddah

A boy and his father from Jamaica were visting America for the first time.

The first time they went to a mall, they were amazed by almost everything they saw,

but especially by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and then slideback together again.

The boy asked, "Ah whahdat, daddy?" The father (having never seen an elevator) responded,

"Son, minevah see notting so inna mi life! Mi nuh know what it is!"

While the boy and his father were watching with amazement, a fat old lady in a wheelchair

rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled

between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched the

small circular numbers above the walls light up sequentially.

They continued to watch until it reached the last number and then the numbers began to light

in the reverse order. Finally the walls opened up again and a gorgeous, voluptuous 19-year-old

woman stepped out. The father, not taking his eyes off the young woman, says quietly to his son,

"Bwoy... Go get yuh moddah!"

Can a girl just rant for a minute please?

*Rant On*

So some of you know that my parents are divorced and my dad remarried 5 years ago. My mom and dad had 3 kids…his new wife had 5 so they got married and had 8 total. Then they decided to have one together and then another. So we are up to 10. Me being the oldest and my youngest half sister being 2 years old. My dad and his wife are getting up there in age (he is going to be 50 and her 44). Don’t you think 10 kids is enough? Apparently not because I found out last night that they are going to have yet another baby.

ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME??? They already get state support, the kids they do have are so messed up because they have been through so much and they are already all crammed into a 3 bedroom house. Do they really need more children? I think this is so blasted selfish of them to do. What about spending some time and energy on the kids you already have? What about your 14 year old son with dyslexia who can’t read yet? Don’t they think he could use some time? What about the two girls that my dad’s wife adopted who were drug and alcohol babies and have problems because of it? Don’t they think they need more care then they are getting? They go up to strangers and sit on their lap, give them hugs etc because they are so starved for attention. Don’t they think maybe they should focus on the children they have and their needs and not creating new ones? Obviously not because they are selfish enough to keep having more children they can’t properly take care of.

My dad has little to no contact with his 3 bio children and no relationship with her oldest son…they despise each other. Don’t they think maybe it would be a good idea to work on those relationships…obviously something is wrong if your 4 oldest children want nothing to do with you. It just makes me SOOOOO mad and sad. My dad was an awful father…very abusive. I know that he is still the same way…I hear the same stories that I endured growing up from these poor little girls. They are just crying out for help and I don’t know how to help them :( It is just so hard to know that more and more children are going to be messed up by this guy who keeps reproducing to suit his own needs. It is a status symbol to him…”oh look at my nice perfect family”…perfect my @ss I know what is happening behind closed doors. I know how messed up your “perfect” family is. Ugh I am just so disgusted…so utterly disgusted.

*Rant Over*

Sorry ladies but I just had to get that out…it has been eating at me all morning

Sorry about that Yardie. there is really nothing you can do but learn from their mistakes. they are adults and truly have their priorities mixed up. Yardie, I'm so sorry.

I hate when I feel like something is spinning out of control around me and I want to fix it; but just can't think of a way to do that. I hope you find your way to help the situation and live with it at the same time.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

Yardie, Baby Gurl...mi sarry fi 'ear bout dis! Ah pure phockery dat! It is a blessing to have children...however you have to be able to bless, love and have time for ALL of them!! SO your Dad is going to be 70-71 when this child is 20!!!! Now...who is going to benefit from that!!

Yards...you have NO control ova hennyone but yourself, but it doesn't mean that you don't have the right to be extremely disappointed in your father's actions...after all our parents are our first & primary role models and when we can't see them in that light... it hurts!!

Baby Gurl & Sistren...you are definitiely in my prayers!!

Much love (L):luv:(L):luv: ,

Thanks everyone! (L) What you all said is so true and I take it to heart. I just feel so bad for these kids that are having to grow up under such crappy conditions. Thanks for letting me vent and get it all out.

That sums it up very well JG  I just hate not being able to do anything about the situation. Everyone is going on as if all is well and this is a wonderful thing...if only they knew the truth.

I will do what I can but I know I just have to let go and let God - as hard as that is.

Dividing The Offering

Three pastors in a certain denomination - an American, Chinese and a Jamaican - were having some difficulty making a decision regarding their Sunday church offering; specifically, which portion they should keep as salary, and which portion should go to the Lord.

The American said, "Whenever I collect the offering and the service is through, after church I put the money in a box- go outside- take a stick

and draw a line on the floor and throw the money in the air. Whatever falls on the right is for the Lord and whatever falls on the left is mine."

The Chinese said, "I put money in box, I dont draw line - I draw circle! I stand in center, throw box wit money in air- whatever fall on outside is mine and what fall inside is for Lord."

The Jamaican then replied "Mi naw draw a circle, mi naw draw a line. All

I do is put de money inna a box and fling it inna de air....whateva de Lawd
