Jonesie (((BIG HUGS))) I know how frustrated you are! I can't believe this little boy hasn't made his debut yet. Maybe he is waiting to be a Christmas baby...or the first baby of the New Year so you get whole heap of presents :) I hope he come soon (F)

Thanks Jamie (F)

He needs to be here before December 31st - we need the tax break  My oldest nephew was born on Halloween (my sis was about 1.5 weeks overdue) so I think that my son may be another holiday baby and come on Christmas as well.

Docs told me that they NEED to have him out before next Saturday - that's when I'll be 42 weeks, which is why they will start induction early next week. On Christmas I was expecting to be at my moms house with my nephews, sister, brother, mom, hubby and our newborn son eatin some good food and just being settled with baby boy...but it looks like they may have to bring me meals to the hospital.

Happy Hump Day errybody

Bway mi pickney a tek afta him fadda an him naah even bawn yet. So wi go a doctor pon Monday an still nuttin... mi haffi tek di non stress test tomorrow an if him naah bawn by Sunday then I call on Monday for starting induction *cha*. Mi ready like freddy fram last month.

stubborn is an understatement :) ...him a test u stamina :)

You know how much extra it cost if you have to stay in the hospital longer for induction of labor? I'd have to wait to dilate OR for them to C-section me AND THEN recover...*langduttykissteet* wha dem tink - a wan rhaatid money tree grow inna mi yaad? I am at my wits end with baby boy. I bought castor oil but am scared to death to drink it. Him head get wash an dat naah wuk eidda

ahahhaaa...di c-section alone will kill u budget :)...but u insurance should pay fi it, no ?

The majority of the cost yes, but there would still be a small percent (less than 10%) that I would need to cover since we still have not met our annual out of pocket expense.

ooo....ok..dat no bad still..but whe n u have thousands 10% can be just enough :)

Tell me about it...but still thankful for the coverage that we have because I could not imagine paying the entire cost out of our pockets. I'd be squatting in our bathtub and having the baby at home

Seems she's more sensible than Britney, but even still at 16 lil sis still has a lot of growing up to do...and a life to live. I commend her for stepping out and accepting the responsibility (a lot of girls would dash wey di belly, or lie about the circumstances) and also not encouraging other teens to follow her path.

Mom writing a parenting book?! Yeah right.

my son was induced, and I didn't have to stay in longer. I was told 12 hours for me to dialate and then they would give me the other drug to induce the contractions. but he didn't follow the rules. He was born 7 hours later. whatever drug they give u makes your contractions come harder so they baby is born sooner.

Some women just don't dilate. Two friends of mine had their kids earlier in the year and were in the hospital for days on pitocin and finally were given C-sections. One of the girls was on pitocin for about 4 days (which I don't agree with at all). I'm just trying to keep all possibilities in mind so if things don't go the way I'd like (which is as drug free as possible for as long as I can) it won't be such a big let down.

If and when I get preggers I would love to do a home birth. I have done so much research that it is something I am seriously considering...if not then a birth center for sure. I was born in a birth center and my mom said is was wonderful and that was a long time ago...I am sure things have only improved since then. I am definitely going natural all the way unless there is something wrong medically. I am going to be one crunchy mama all the way

You know I am hoping and praying that you get to have the birth experience you have been dreaming of. Glad to hear that you are at least open to the idea of it not happening the way you want. 4 days on Pitocin?! That isn't right at all

A birth center had opened recently in my area (wasn't open when I first got preggers) so I was really disappointed because it was too late for me to switch over (and by this point I was about 6 months pregnant). I plan on using midwives and the birthing center if we have another baby. My timeline is about 2-2.5 years after baby boy is born to start TTC again - then the tubes are getting tied.

no...it stops the egg from traveling to the fallopian tube... total hysterectomy brings on menopause early
