Hi all,

Our case got moved to CSC today 10-22-2007 for whatever that means, it was sitting at the MSC for a while. Should I be worried or is this a normal step?

It's neither normal nor abnormal. It seems that "simple", straightforward cases are sometimes transferred to California. It also usually means that you will not have to be interviewed in order to be approved.

Note that while being transferred to the CSC is usually a good thing, it doesn't necessarily mean that you will get approved, nor does it mean that you will be approved without an interview. The dude looking at your case in California may decide that there was no reason to send your case to California and send it elsewhere... or request for more evidence... or decide that an interview ultimately needs be done... etc. It may also delay processing.

But in the majority of cases, being transferred to the CSC leads to a rather speedy approval with no interview.

Ours was transfered to CSC, and 3 months after that we got card in the mail, No interview.

Only thing about it is that you dont know if CSC will run into a Name-check hold, and there is no notice if that happens, you just see no activity on the case.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

This could be a really good thing. After Claudeth's AOS was transferred to CSC and about five weeks later she received her GC without an interview. Good luck

There are known cases where the case then gets transferred to a local office for interview, even after the case has been sitting at CSC for a while. It happens, not much, but happens. ;)

How does one find out when their case is transferred and to where? I'm assuming ours will be transferred to California or the local office in San Bernardino but at this time I have no idea how to determine what goes on with the transfer. Do we get notified of the transfer?

Thanks in advance,

Charlie

You get notified electronically if you're tracking your case status online, and you get a regular letter as well.
