Form I-134 Affidavit of Support Questions

hello everyone!

we are already preparing our documents for my interview in the next few months. i'm sure that these questions were already answered from previous threads. i just want to hear some answers from the couples who filed in the US Embassy in Manila. just some questions on the Affidavit of Support:

1. Is it ok to put a blank or $0.00 on the amount deposited in the bank? As well as for the Life Insurance? Is it ok to leave it blank or put $0.00?

2. On Question 11, do we need to check the INTEND BOX and then put at the lines below "N/A (K1 Visa process for permanent residence)" or we just put this statement: "All expenses including but not limited to her visa expenses, airline tickets, lodging, boarding, food, incidental expenses and other kind of expenses."

PLEASE HELP US coz we are so confused... especially for those who have experienced this already....

I can only recommend that you always tell the truth so if the balance is zero then put zero. You should take a look at the example here on VJ, that helped us a lot.

1. what you put down depends on your situation. my income was enough so I only put down my salary and left the others blank. If you do use assets, make sure to provide documentation to back it up.

2. there is no right or wrong answers. either of your examples would be acceptable. myself, I checked do intent

all expenses as necessary.

1. My husband put N/A for those. He supplied them only with his annual income info. since it was enough to satisfy the income requirement and the money in his bank accounts weren't much anyway.

2. We checked neither boxes and typed in N/A on the blank.

Please read Section 4.3 of the Manila Embassy K1 Visa Guide. I further recommend that you read the entire guide.

A1: Like "Roy and Yazi" mentioned, if your income is above the poverty level, then you may put N/A (recommended), $0.00 (just as good), or leave it blank (not my preference).

Q2. A2: We checked intend and wrote…) This affidavit of support accompanies a K1 Fiancée Visa application (in the space provided below).

However both questions are meant for immigrant visa applicants, which is why there are no negative consequences in leaving the answers blank or placing N/A in those sections.
