I have read on here about spouses who previously had a tourist visa able to visit their USC during the visa process, but what about a transit visa? I have read it allows you to fly into the country as you depart for another flight/port. Me and my husband were thinking of taking our honeymoon during the school break, there are great deals on cruises, that embark/disembark in the USA. What are some opinions him requesting this type while we wait for our K3 to be processes? Any one have experiences?

Thanks!

Thats a great question. I am delaying my K-3 application to get a tourist visa for my wife so we can go on a cruise. I fear if I apply for K-3 and then apply for a tourist visa it would be denied.

I do not think you can apply for transit visa if you are going to fly in and then travel in the USA to a port to board a ship. I believe it has to be a tourist visa. I would like a definite answer on that too!
