Hello Guys,

I am here in Singapore right now working while waiting for my K1 Visa. If I will be able to get a Visa I would like to go home to the Phils first to see my family. Will the US Immigration allow me to do that? Can I go straight to the US without coming back here in Singapore or should I have to fly from Singapore to the US? Please I need your advise.

yes you can. you should have plenty of time to go home and visit your family. you have six months to enter the USA once you been issued the K-1 Visa.

after going home, you'll need to attend CFO since you'll be departing the Philippines with a K-1 Visa. that's a requirement of the Philippine Govt.

best of luck.

My friend got her K1 visa in HK US Embassy and went backed to the Philippines to see her family before coming to the US and didn't take CFO....so far she's here already without any problem exiting from the Manila airport without attending the seminar.

sorry if I gave misinformation. i was going by the CFO website which says all Filipino Emigrants and spouses/fiance's of foreign nationals must register with CFO and attend a seminar before departing. http://www.cfo.gov.ph/
