DECEMBER interview at US Embassy Manila

VJ was my attorney. I didn't get a RFE and I have sure seen people with attorneys that have gotten them for reasons the attorney should have seen. It would have been nice to have someone to ask questions to but I think the wonderful members here have done that for me. I am glad I didn't pay a grand for someone to fill in blanks for me. But I can see it both ways. Like you say you wouldn't pay now that you know how it works. I can say It may have been worth knowing someone that already knows what they are doing is making it more likely my loved one will be with me sooner. I wish we could just pay that grand to the process to speed this painfully slow process up

yehheeeyyyy got approved yesterday!

i'd like to say thank you to all the VJs who have helped me in my journey, most especially sis rina! if not with you, my journey wont be smooth and easy. here's what what happened in my interview:

my interview went very smoothly. interview time was at 830am. i arrived at the embassy 715am and was done by 915am. i was given a priority number because i brought with me my baby. basically the prescreener and the consul asked a lot and the same set of questions.

name of my petitioner?

how we met?

when did we meet?

how many years was my hubby in the US now?

how long have i known him?

how did he acquire his citizenship?

how many times did i travel to US?

how long were my stays in US?

with my longest stay in the US what did i do?

when was the last time i saw him?

is my baby his child?

when did get married? where?

birthday of the petitioner?

name of the petitioner?

afterwhich the consul told me that everything are in order. i go back outside and wait for further instructions. it was unsure of what he was saying if i was approved or not. so i asked him if i was approved. and he answered "YES."

i felt so much relief and was so happy!

the pinoy prescreener by the way was so warm and friendly. while the consul who interviewed me was so stern looking. doesnt smile at all

Until now its already Dec 7. im still waiting with the call of USEM d pa cla tumatawag baka by next week ko pa makuha visa ko How about sa nyo? natawagan na kau? Last Dec. 5 interview ko..

yet another good reason to not hire an attorney

I don't know, there are a lot of positive points to having one, but you just can't always take what they tell you as absolute truth. I'm glad I've had one so far, it does make things less stressful. But if I had to do it again, knowing more about the whole process, I don't think I would pay for one again.

Hello Ness! Sorry I was not online yesterday. Yup, they called us last thursday at 2:00pm and the lady told me that the visa is ready for pick up on Friday at 10am, window 33 and so we did. I also attended the Guidance and Counseling seminar yesterday afternoon and went to the CFO after that.
