K3 Versus I130

I am trying to figure this out and as is with every step in this process I am at a loss.

What all do we need to prepare for the K3 after getting the NOA2, assuming I am going to get my NOA2 on that before my I130 ??

Can James Shortcuts be used for the K3 visa at the NOA2 stage to speed things along instead of waiting for packets to come and contact to be made with NVC?

I as everyone else just want to have some control and do whatever I can to move things along in the process when I am able to..

Can anyone help clarify this for me? Thank you!!!

James' shortcuts are not used for K visas. You have absolutely no control over anything that can affect the timeline of your K visa from NOA1 to interview except how fast and properly you return the P3.

So referring to the P3, you mean the packet 3?, and will I receive that or will he? Is that just the forms listed here in the guides?

Can someone break it down for me for the K3 from NOA2 on.... Thanks!

The K visa immigrant received the packet three. (P3)

The appropriate guide will provide a step by step all the way through the process. Please read it instead of asking somebody to type it just for you. Then ask any remaining questions.

I have seen the guide and know the instructions, but want to know if there are any shortcuts to this like with the I130 James shortcuts.

That is all I am asking.

pusbrk is correct.

The James shortcuts help the petition keep things moving, after a I-130 is approved, by providing documents proactively to NVC to support the eventual interview for a CR-1/IR-1 visa.

When a I-129F is filed after the K3, the approved I-130 is not sent to NVC (usually). Instead, the approved I-129F is sent to NVC and NVC conducts various background checks. Sometimes the approved petition leaves NVC almost immediately, sometimes it takes quite a while (It took us close to a month. While I was waiting, I determined that the median waiting time at NVC was about 3 days, though.) As pushbrk says, a I-130/I-129F filer has very little control over the timeline -- except for helping the beneficiary return Packet 3 very quickly. For posts that combine Packet 3 and 4 (like Moscow) neither petitioner nor beneficiary can influence the K3 timeline.
