On I-485, it wants me to list my present husband. We got married on October 1st when I came down here on my K-1 visa. Would I still put his information in there, check yes for "applying with you?", and leave A # blank (since Im the one who came down?)? Or am I missing something? Any help is appreciated. These forms are nuts. (I cant believe how many times Ive had to fill out that same biographic information form!)

LDora,

You're not missing anything - follow the example form in the Guides - you should list your husband (and his information) and check NO for "Applying with you?"

Thanks for the speedy reply! I keep forgetting about those examples. Sorry for being such a dummy!

came down??????

If you entered with a visa as a K-1, you have an A number. It's printed on your visa page.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Sounds like they are Canadian, though their profile lacks details. They filed for N/A and are from a country called N/A

Yep, Canadian. Time line is on my list of things to do . . . which is rather lengthy at the moment, sorry! I'll get there, I promise.

What I meant in my original question is that it asks for an A number for my husband, too. I assume that would be if he was filing for AOS too, but it's only me, as Im the one who moved here.

Sorry for the lack of info.

If your husband was born in the USA he wont have an A# put "NONE" there.

Thanks for updating the profile details!

AOS is all about the person with the K-Visa, all the US Citizen in the relationship provides is the I-864 affidavit of support.

Dont forget to file an I-765 with the I-485. Filing for EAD with AOS costs NOTHING extra.

Yup, I'm on that. I might have to wait a while to be able to file though, since that wedding and honeymoon have us wiped out. All my forms are filled, we're just getting the fee together. From what people have been telling me, though, it shouldn't be a huge issue if we have to wait a few months to file for AOS -- apparently being married is the requirement for staying. (I have another thread of panic on here somewhere) I just wish I could get it done sooner so I could get a job!
