It is truly amazing to me that they impose upon you by asking to sit at your table and when you politely try tio make conversation with them they act so rude and indignant. But seriously, Kez, that is the world all over. There are always some good eggs and some rotten eggs. I'm glad you told them off!! Good for you!!

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Well done Kez!!!!!!!!

Those women need to get over themselves  Here you were being hospitable and then they were so rude. I'm kinda surprised they assumed you were American though, i'd reckon you still have a quite strong Scottish accent.

I dont think I sound American... OK so I have adopted a few American words over the years.. but I think I still sound Scottish.. that was until I went home to Scotland then every time I opened my mouth I had an American twang... it sounded so odd over there.. but I dont notice it here... I asked my mom today if she thought I sounded American and she think I do when I say certain things...

Oh well...

Yes, my Aussie husband has all but lost his accent since arriving in Canada. He found he had to change it because, as we know, people don't listen and they were having a hard time understanding him (which is totally weird).

They still can't understand him when he says 'Coke' (as in the beverage :) )

Oh and they also always used to ask him if he was British.

I would have told them to f##k off, the sad old uptight hags they are. Every time I meet a fellow Brit you would think I had known them for years. Just the other day in Giant, a woman was behind me in the queue from London (like myself), and we chatted for about 20 minutes by the cigarette till. I would say the witches you met Kez were not the norm, so hopefully any future encounters with Brits will be happy ones.

And, yeah a lot of Welsh would be insulted if you called them English. And I can only imagine the look on an Englishman's face if you called them Welsh. But that's certainly no reason to be rude to anyone.

And if you REALLY wanna get specific....try calling a Mackem a Geordie and see what happens

Sorry that happened, Kez.

I agree with Lisa-don't let anyone...no matter what...make you feel ashamed to be who you are or where you are from.....Nasty pieces of work!!!

Also-how dare they pick on you when it obviously didn't take them [the snotty Brits] long to pick up the Americanism " GOD DAMN" and say it to you......Lived in the UK most of my life-never heard that there-I wonder if they realize how classless using that type of language here is....Prob not.

IK HOU VAN JOU, MARK

Take a large, almost round, rotating sphere about 8000 miles in diameter, surround it with a murky, viscous atmosphere of gases mixed with water vapor, tilt its axis so it wobbles back and forth with respect to a source of heat and light, freeze it at both ends and roast it in the middle, cover most of its surface with liquid that constantly feeds vapor into the atmosphere as the sphere tosses billions of gallons up and down to the rhythmic pulling of a captive satellite and the sun. Then try to predict the conditions of that atmosphere over a small area within a 5 mile radius for a period of one to five days in advance!

There are idiots everywhere. I just do not understand why anyone with that attitude travels.

I generally find people from the UK to be friendly. Apart from PH and #6 lol...

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

lol man I wish I could have seen the looks on their faces. There was a lady that came into the cafe last week and I said "what part of England are you from?" she seemed shocked that I realized she was from England. Then I explained that I lived there for some time and my husband is from Newcastle...she seemed to think it was hilarious that he is a geordie. lol. Anyways, I've never had an experience with rude people like that but way to go! I can't believe they were so snotty. Good on you for telling them not to come back lol. I'm still laughing about it!

Life is a ticket to the greatest show on earth.
