Hi Guys,

I did not receive my P3, yet. I would like to send out DS-230 and supporting documents on Monday.

Is there a return envelope provided in P3? What kind of envelope is it? Is it a window envelope? Is it regular size 10?

Thanks in advance,

Zil

I'm not clear on why you want to send your documents back before you've received packet 3. There is a checklist in packet 3 from London that you have to return, indicating that you have all necessary documents and are ready for interview. You should wait for packet 3 before sending anything back.

Regarding the envelope, just use your own judgement. Might be as well to use a full-size brown one though. Less chance of it getting lost in the pile, which could happen if you used a #10.

Envlope does not matter, however...

The National Visa Center won't process it any faster.

There are instructions somewhere that states "do not send forms in advance unless we have acknowledged payment." The NVC generates an invoice, you pay the invoice, you get a letter back noting they received your payment AND NOW you can download and complete forms.

Thanks Guys,

My P3 was generated on Oct 15, so I am not sending in anything earlier than requested. I just don't want to wait one or two more weeks to receive it in the mail. I made the cover sheet based on the instructions on this website and gathered the required documents.

I just wanted to know if the envelope is any special.

If the NVC says that it has generated and mailed you or will mail you the DS-230, then you can go ahead and send it to them. Make sure you follow James' shortcuts so you can generate this form yourself since it has a barcode on it. Also check the DOS link http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3176.html to find out exactly what documents you need to send along with the form or your case will be delayed significantly.

Well I don't know if it's really special - but here is what the return envelope looks like :)

It is 12 inches wide and 9 inches high, not sure if they all have Appt stamped on them, MTL is an appt post so that could be why ours does.
