Can somebody tell how i will know when my petiton has arrived and also left the nvc? I recieved a notice from uscis that it was sent to nvc on april 7. Will nvc send me a notice when it is sent to the embassy or do i have to call them? Also I've been looking at the timelines and most of the dates say the day it arrives at nvc is the day it also leaves for the embassy , is this typical? thank you

Once the embassy recieves your petition, they will send you Packet three with the necessary forms. I didnt want to wait until i recieved packet 3 to know they had it so i called the NVC and they let me know it was sent to the embassy. You could give them a call.

I also called the NVC, to check when they mailed our petition. You may have to call several times, because you need to speek to an operator. I think when you call you press 1 and then 5 to speak to an operator. Have your receipt number ready, and they will ask you a few questions, to make sure that it is you. Once I knew the date the NVC sent uor petition, I tracked it on the DHL site. You track by reference, and for the reference you enter Correspondence, and then in the outgoing zipcode you enter the NVC's zipcode, I think it is 03801. Then it will give you all packages sent from NVC to all the Embassies. So you just find the day your's was sent and then look for the one going to your embassy. You don't know for sure if this is yours, because it doesn't give your name, but you assume.

Does anyone know how long it takes for the NVC to process the packages after receiving them from Nebraska service center???

I know uscis sent me an e mail about 2 weeks after it was approved stating that it was sent to nvc. I am wondering the same thing how long it stays at nvc to be processed. I looked on peoples timeline and it says most of them got there on a certain date and left that same day. Thats kind of hard to believe.

Yup. Call or e-mail the Embassy to find out. You should definitely check out the embassy's website. Most of the "Packet 3" items are available to be downloaded on the web.

I got a letter from the NVC with the embassy case number and that it had been sent to the embassy.

I called the NVC a few times. Once it was in the system they told me the date everything was sent to the embassy.
