I remember for the last world cup I had to get up at some crazy time in the middle of the night...but I watched it, just to cheer my then fiance's country.

Tomorrow hubster and I are going to a great Brit ex-pat pub to watch the final. A little rugby, a little brew, and a little chips with curry sauce. And a great atmosphere to watch it in. It's all good!

GO ENGLAND!!!

Well since my team, the All Blacks, didn't even make it to the final! and my Husband's team (Australia) didn't either, I will be hoping England does win this one - good luck!!

Oh I'm with you sister! Hubby is miffed that he is working away and won't get to see it...but I have brews and an Indian takeaway so I am happy

Oh I remember the last final very well......we were going to a friend's wedding that day , the world cup was showing at 8am in the local pub, so there were 4 of us couples dressed to the nines watching the final ready for the 10am wedding. Then extra time happened. The taxi arrived, us girlies all ready to go in the taxi waiting for our men.

My friend's hubby runs towards the taxi, hurls 20 pounds at the cabbie and yells "GO, GO, GO....we will get there in time, don't worry!!" We almost get whiplash as the cabbie races away! as they all stay in the pub..... GOBSMACKED!

The registrar delayed the wedding by 10 mins. Apparently, the landlord drove them to the wedding at high speed with radio blaring while Jonny did his magic.

They crept in and we looked back at them, we figured by the fist clenching that England had won. I was told that by the look on my face my hubby whispered to his mate "I am f**ked" I was more worried for them all as the groom was marrying a Brazilian lady...I thought she might kick their a@@es  Luckily the bride and groom took it all in good humour

So I reckon the karma bus came around for him this time :P
