Fiance visa approval by state

Dear Readers,

Does anyone know if residents of some states have it easier to get approval than other states? For example, all other factors aside, is it more difficult to get approved as a resident of New Jersey versus any other state? If the reviewers are denying a higher percentage of applications just because they don't like New Jersey, then I will move before I submit my application. This is why I am asking.

Thank you.

Many factors involved but which state you live in is not one them.

NOLL ... I have friend now he lives in new jersey with his wife ... he was here in morocco and he made the K3 spouse visa dn he got in 6 months but in normal it took from you at least one year and few month to get it ... so i don't understand why the immigration service will not like the new jersey ... it depend on the immigration service center not the state ... in all ways the process is taking the same period in average 6 months it could be less or more it depend the case !!!

GOOD LUCK  ,

Rachid.

Where you live only determines which of two service centers you will be sending your packet to. VSC used to be quite a bit faster, but both are now pretty slow.

The adjudicators can only deny a petition for very specific reasons, not because they don't like people from New Jersey.

The state in which the USC lives does not determine the time in which an approval is made. The adjudicators aren't that petty :P

noll, are these questions serious or are you just having a bit of fun? State of residence only determines where you file. To deny your petition/her visa, they have to give a reason, and 'Newark sucks' wouldn't fly. ;)

Noll,

Please read this story.

I'm afraid if you keep asking these hypothetical questions, you'll find yourself in the same circumstance the little boy did.

If you have concerns about your case, please describe them so we can help you.

The only difference I'm aware of between states is the income requirements... but they only effect Hawaii and Alaska.

Just curious where u got this info?

IT's a state like all others and in terms of visa, doesn't get any positive or negative preferential treatment. I live in Jersey too and proud to be a Jersey girl! :)

I heard rumors b4 applying that it took less time to get it if in NJ as opposed to NY. Now this was info coming from ppl who heard it from a other ppl, etc.. who didn't know much about the process. You have to be careful regarding what is fact and what is rumors.

it could matter if you file during a full moon.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.
