our case was approved at USCIS march 10, 2006, husband recieved a hard copy of the approval letter. but gosh as i read it its still a long long wait....how long still....i checked the interview dates in manila and as i see it ...the sched is all for K visas....WHY? only 2 or 3 for IR1 and cr1.....its almost one year for us now....how long is our journey still.....

my husband's birthday is on june 11....do u think we can be together june? :(

question...am thinking now....is it still right for us to file for k3...( is this a crazy thought now) coz u said it takes a short time....

I don't think you should file K-3, some people havce gotten their 1 130s approved quicler than K-3 s lately. If you got an approval letter, usually it takes a month before the interview., at leasst in Russia. You have waited so long already, it's just a few more weeks, I am sure everything will go smoothly . My thoughts are with you, just hang in there a little bit longer:)

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, :( .but your approved I-130 has to go through the NVC process yet :( .I realy dont think you will have your visa by june, sorry :(

as for the K3, I think in Manila you still have a very long wait after approval & NVC, so for that reason i would say dont bother with it!!

We did both K3 & CR1 visa's, got both!!- I returned to England for my CR1 interview after first arriving on a K3 visa!!

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Removing Conditions Begins

Mailed I-751 April 12th 2008

signed for @ NSC April 16th

NOA date April 16th

Conditional GC expired May 5th 2008

Biometrics Detroit May 10th 2008

10 year Green card ordered August 20th 2008

Citizenship any time from feb 2009

ok thanks for the reply.

i was so excited before when we were touched, then touched again then touched again....we were rejoicing when we were approved, especially when husband called me coz he recieved the hard copy.......he was here last week just to celebrate our first anniversay and is now back at california....being away again seems to be very very difficult......

what taking them so long to process our papers.....

Not to rain on your parade - but this is a hard process and EVERYONE HERE is sad to be apart. Waiting is part of the process. It takes a long time because it's the GOVERNMENT...that's just how it goes.

So...be patient and keep waiting - they always say that good things come to those who wait.

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!
