I just thought I would share this. I know a lot of people who have had their interviews say it's ok not to bring your x-ray... but maybe it's a good idea to at least bring to Montreal and leave in your hotel room. If the Consulate needs to see it, you can always go back and get it.

That makes no sense. An xray can only be read by a technician and unless they have a technician on staff, they can't do anything with it... So freaking weird and inconsistent.

Yes, and the wicket lady in Montreal told me I didn't have to bring in the x-ray even before she had opened the envelope for the medical.

I remember when I was handing over my papers I asked her if she wanted my xray, and she said:

"No, if there is a problem with your medical then we take your xray"

I was thinking of painting it and framing it and making it into some sort of art.

Hehe, that's cool. But I guess a U.S. doctor might need/want it for their records. My fiance is going to get a kick out of seeing mine when he comes to pick me up:)

Most hospitals these days put your x-rays on CD so it looks like someone is getting a mini-frisbee for Christmas.

You won't need your xray again if you got it as a K-1. You don't need it for AOS - just proof of the various immunizations you require for your age. What I did with mine was take it to my new family physician who was then able to use it as a baseline for future x-rays.

With how unpredictable MTL can be, I'm bringing my x-ray with me. I found a tube at Staples to put it in, so it's easier to carry around. Better to be safe, than sorry.

I'll be taking my x-ray. I would hate for that to be the reason my visa is held up. Besides, I don't live close enough to Montreal for a quick trip - more like 14 hours one way.

My medical envelope was stapled to the X-Ray envelope.

The Doctors office told me not to remove anything. I didn't. I brought it that way on the plane and to the interview.
