Is it really the best use of people's time to prosecute this woman over something as ridiculous as this?

What is it with all these finger-wagging laws?

Politicians who're bored, I suppose. They want to look like they're doing something. I'd rather have politicians who actually do something worthwhile instead.

A house I pass on the way home from work (a few streets over from where we live) got served by the police for not cutting their grass. I can understand requiring homeowners to shovel the sidewalks outside their property - but taking people to court for not cutting their grass!?

I suppose they want to "weed" out the troublemakers and really kick some "grass" while they do it. :P

You're free to do as you wish inside your own house as long as it stays inside your house... obviously, her "choice words" were not only heard inside her house but at the neighbors house as well and that is against the law.

It would be no different than a neighbor playing the TV or radio too loud in their house. It shouldn't disturb the people in houses next to yours.

seen that one before, usually a city ordinance. my guess is it all started when someone was too lazy to mow their yard/keep it in a reasonable semblance of appearance to start with.

That cop clearly doesn't have enough to do. Probably too lazy to go out and actually apprehend criminals, or too stupid. His boss should now be wondering why he hired him in the first place.
