Hello again everyone.

I visit this site daily. After reading thousands of post, I have a few questions that I have wanted to ask for a while now.

What is the RFE trick that so many people talk about on here?

Can someone explain to me what biometrics is?

What is an infopass appointement exactly? When is this needed?

I feel silly for asking these question, but if I don't ask,I will never know. :)

Thanks

Steph

RFE means Request For Evidence or something like that. It's a letter you get from USCIS when they want to see something you did not include in the package you sent them. So you just send them what they ask for and that'll usually make them happy, although that will have delayed the processing of your case a little.

Biometrics: during the AOS process, you have to go get your picture and fingerprints taken at your local USCIS office.

An InfoPass appointment is when you want to see someone competent at USCIS (as opposed to the people you usually get when you call them). You schedule it and go and ask your questions, simply!

Normally you shouldn't need to do that.

RFE = Request for Evidence

Biometrics = Is taking a picture and fingerprints

Info pass is when you schedule an appointment using USCIS info-pass website to ask questions regarding your case.

This site also has a nice search box, you would have found the answers just by entering, "RFE" "BIOMETRICS" "INFO-PASS" in it.

A good source of info is on the FAQ page called " Definitions and Acronyms " http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...page=definition
