2007-07-27 – Case complete at NVC waiting on the world or at least MTL.

2007-12-19 - INTERVIEW AT MTL, SPLIT DECISION.

2007-12-24-Mom's I-551 arrives, Pop's still in purgatory (AP)

2008-03-11-AP all done, Pop is approved!!!!

I'm sorry.. but some people's "ideas" about humor in Off Topics is disgusting.. As someone who survived abuse, the posts that some find "funny" are horrific and violent. Makes me wonder what kind of people some posters are at home (and fear for their spouses). I think what you find funny defines what kind of person you are... Sad indeed.

Thankfully I haven't seen whatever thread you're referring to. But I think that the more you joke about it, the less likely you are to have been exposed to it.

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008

Green card/residency card: email notice of approval – August 28th, 2008 yippeeeee!!!

Funny-looking card arrives – September 6th, 2008 :)

Mailed request to remove conditions – July 7, 2010

Landed permanent resident approved – August 23rd, 2010

Second funny looking card arrives – August 31st, 2010

I'm sorry.. but some people's "ideas" about humor in Off Topics is disgusting.. As someone who survived abuse, the posts that some find "funny" are horrific and violent. Makes me wonder what kind of people some posters are at home (and fear for their spouses). I think what you find funny defines what kind of person you are... Sad indeed.

This is the part that worries me sometimes too -- some folks are so misogynous that makes you wonder how they treat their spouses at home, eh? God bless I married an academic that has read more than comics :thumbs:, is aware of the world around him and knows that there's no space for porn in our house (bookshelves way too full as is)

An yup, what one considers funny does say a lot about your values and who you are! You are wise sister!
