Believe it or not I did ask Ewok for that. He was in agreement until a few others argued against it. My personal take on them resisting the suggestion was because it would limit their audience. If you're not interested in politics you're not going to venture into that forum, hence reduced traffic to view their strutting.

On another vent note - What the heck is up with VJ today?! None of my posts have posted. Am I banned or invisible?! Is this is the VJ purgatory they speak of?

Anyone see Marilyn?? I haven't seen any posts from her in ages!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Well, I think there are a lot of people who don't participate in OT threads because of the political and religious threads. Even worse, how many people first go into those threads as their initial exposure to this forum? I just think any religious or political themed thread in OT is just like putting a big sign over that says "GIANT FLAME WAR OVER THE INTERNET AND NAME CALLING CONTEST". The Flying Spaghetti Monster does not approve. :devil:

Oh wow, I just read that thread again.... I go to lunch, and suddenly 8 pages pop up while I'm gone. I read some very disappointing comments from some people I didn't expect to hear that sort of stuff from. Just furthers my opinion that arguing politics or religion over the internet is about as much fun as punching yourself in the nuts
