So I bought the "TWIN DRAFT GUARD" from those TV commercials, it doesn't work at all!! GRRRR why do I always fall for "as seen on TV" #######?

So I am thinking it doesn't fit correctly on your door??

That's the thing with that stuff - they use them in ideal conditions that suit the product. Bah!

The commercial makes it look like it works so easily and fits all kinds of doors/floors, but when we put it on it doesn't glide like it does on TV, it just gets stuck and slides under the door then you have to pull it out, stupid thing! It might work better on windows but I don't have the types of windows that slide up/down

Actually yes, I didn't order it over TV because I only need one and the on TV comes with 2 for $19.99. Once I googled it I saw Bed Bath & Beyond sells them for $9.99 so I bought it there, I'll bring it back today!! BB&B Has alot of "As seen on TV" goodies including the "Snuggie" it's like a blanket you put thru your arms I almost got that but resisted LOL

Well, here I am.

All my stuff is packed up and ready to go. I was planning on making my move to the states today but the Consulate still hasn't sent my Visa and Passport! (I had to send them my medical results which they recieved Monday, I figured, all they have to do is print the darn visa and stick it in that pre-paid pre-addressed envelope and hand it over to Canada Post...how long could that take?) Apparently I got so caught up with this process finally being over that I forgot to look at the past performance of government workers during this entire time...

Makes you start to wonder, will I ever move?

Ya, that sucks, but who knows on what pile it goes on!! Hopefully they mail it out soonest!! If ity were I, i would email them (with case # in subject line) and state the urgency of why you require it soonest, and be very polite. Kill them with kindness.

We have been sh*t on REPEATEDLY ever since the start of the year, and we're only 10 days into it. Something's got to give. Seriously; this is getting RIDICULOUS.

Its never good when you have to start your morning off with a broken coffee machine.

So I get up, turn the coffee pot on and then go back to lay down... weekend routine yanno?

Figure the coffee is ready and go out... only to find coffee everywhere but the pot... all over the counter and the stove top.

My husband offers to make espresso but its not the same!

He tells me that a piece came off the anti-flow mechanism last week and that he had left it on the counter.

O RLY? Because I cleaned up last night and I do remember seeing a little black piece of plastic and I do remember throwing it in the garbage!

So I had to go through the garbage to find this little plastic part so he could fix the pot.

Anyhoo, I basically tried to take out the anti flow mechanism and put the pot under, didn't work. Started again. Took the top off the pot and put it under... didn't work! Started again! The final time I just took my cup and put it under that little stream of water and held it there, worked.

Now I am finally having my morning coffee.

This is insane.

I feel so homesick today, I think this is the first time since I've moved here (2 months ago) that I actually feel homesick and like crying.... all of my girlfriends are having a girls night and going to dinner and to see Bride Wars, I wish I was back home hanging with them. Don't get me wrong I'm happy here but I haven't met any friends yet and I'd just love to be back and having a girls night. Sigh.

Well Jill if you ever wanna go walk around center city and just have coffee or something let me know. Hanging out with a fellow Canadian is always nice, I hung out with Amanda a couple of months ago and it was honestly like a breath of fresh air.

Speaking of hanging out... whatever happened to the Jersey/Delaware Valley meet up??
