mini vent...

so a few days ago we got a letter from our insurance company saying we owed some money from when we added the new car earlier this month, the letter said it was due on November 28th and I was going to mail off the check in a few days...

anyways I get home today and there is a voice mail marked urgent from the underwriter of the insurance saying that we owed some money and that it is due tomorrow  so I am like what and take another look at the letter from the insurance company and it still says November 28th, so I call the insurance company and listen to the automated thing and that too says November 28th :P so I am going to stick with that date... :P

I had something like that happen to me with Bell Canada. They sent me a bill, saying it was due 2 days before the actual date of the bill. It was completely up to date, so there wasn't any past due. I called them and told them about it, and paid it, but the next month they tried to put a late fee on me! I wasn't having any of that, and ended up getting a month free :P

Man I hate bell! Another time, at the end of November, my internet stopped working just out of the blue and a month of no net, and countless hours with tech support, they finally found out my account wasn't updated with my new phone number from April!! They were telling me my pc had a problem and I needed a new ethernet card and this and that...Grrrr thats not all either..I hate bell...Im going to have a beer!

We have a similar situation with our car loan here. We send a bank cheque since they aren't set up for online bill payment. The cheque is scheduled to arrive the 15th of every month which is when the payment is due. Two months now the 15th has fallen on a Saturday - and on the Sunday evening (the 16th) we have received an automated message saying it is urgent that we call right away because our payment is late!!! In each case it was delivered on the 15th - but they don't work on the Saturday so it doesn't get processed until the Monday. Those phone calls are very annoying because you then have to wait until their business hours the next day to find out that they did, in fact, receive the payment. And I mean, it is the very next day too that they call which is kind of ridiculous. Only a few more months and that loan will be paid off completely and we won't have to deal with them anymore - in fact, this last time we debated just paying off the rest of it all now - still may do so.

Autumn...do not fret. I saw that thread and didn't even bother. It is just ignorance. I just don't even bother with my two cents over there. It's pretty much worthless.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I feel down tonight. :(

I want to move back to France eventually. As an accountant, me having a CPA will be extremely valuable. In order for me to sit for the exam, I need to satisfy the 5th year of schooling.

So I look into a Master program. Oh boy, they want me to take one class/quarter the first year, then 2 classes/quarter the second year while taking the CPA exam at the same time. I am sorry but I can't do that. I can deal with the school aspect but not the CPA studying at the same time. English is not my first language and I work full time. :(

I am just depressed, I really don't know what to do. I don't want to just take random classes just so that I can sit for the exam, it seems like a waste of time. I'd rather go for a Master. Oh and they ask for 3 recommendations. Hello!!! I never had that many supervisors/bosses in my short professional career, how the heck am I supposed to come up with 2 let alone 3 recommendations.

Migrating back to your home country is such a nightmare when your degree is American. :(

I did chime in on that one, it ticked me off too. I find it very odd that people think they can speak about other people like that - where is the compassion? How were these people raised by their parents?

It is a drop in the ocean, voicing your opinion over there, I have to agree with that Amanda, but sometimes.

So I'm up...on Sunday..I've been up since 5am when I woke up for a few seconds and smelt...poop! My dog I guess has not been feeling good and my husband took her out at 3:30am..I guess she needed to go again :( Well I" realized I didn't have any stain cleaner so I had to run out to Walgreens and get some! Come back, work the stain, open up all the windows (its freezing!!) and now it is 7:30 am and I am wide awake. :D

Blah!

Well I got up and broke a glass thing on the floor and then did something really stupid

I decided the coffee was too weak, so I was going to pour it through the coffee grounds again, it had only just been made so not a big deal - yeah well I wasn't really awake I guess because I proceeded to pour the coffee in to the coffee machine reservoir
