This is so damn depressing. The day is almost over (it's 4:25 pm) and still nothing from the post office. Where is my visa!!!!!! :girlwerewolf2xn:

I'm feeling a little better now. Still, makes me wonder why it's not here yet. The interviewer said I was approved, didn't talk about any conditions for approval. Just the thought of having to go through the weekend and wait 'til Monday to maybe receive it drives me nuts!!! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!

So, my friend's husband - the electrician - stopped by last night to find out why the circuit in the home office (with the phones) kept tripping. He couldn't find anything wrong, but the breaker is supposed to be one of the new super sensitive breakers and he thought it might be too sensitive for the degree of power fluctuations going on in the normal course of the office operation - printers, copiers, computers, etc. He switched that breaker around with the one in the garage which is a pretty quiet space. Well, the office has been fine, but sometime overnight the breaker for what is now the garage tripped. No problem except that I realized that is where we have the freezer - and the modem for the internet! So, I reset the breaker, called my friend again and her husband is going to stop back again on his way home from work with a replacement breaker. It is good to know that it is just a defective breaker, but I have had to reset it twice already. Next issue - termite protection.

Re: postal problems. We have had 3 major issues with USPS and delivery. The most recent was a computer storage device my husband ordered from a company in Florida. When it didn't arrive when promised he tracked it online and read that USPS had delivered it the day before at 1:30 pm. The trouble is - they didn't deliver it to our house - and our mail delivery isn't until 3:30 pm. I went to the local Post Office and tried to convince them that there had been no delivery to our house. The counter person's attitude was 'our records show it was delivered to where it was addressed so you must have got it'. After repeated attempts to try and get them to investigate I finally wrote a letter to the Post Master explaining everything. She called me and was willing to accept that we hadn't received it and they would pay for its reshipment if the company would cover the cost. I suggested they might want to find out where parcels prior to the time ours was 'delivered' went and she called me back a few hours later to say they had found it! The postal carrier had delivered it to a totally different subdivision 6 miles away from here to the same street number but a totally different street name. The post office sent someone to the house to collect the parcel - which they still had! - and offered to deliver it. I went and picked it up from them instead. So, write a letter to the Post Master - you may get some better action.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

*sigh* on top of it all work won't give me time off, my parents are getting divorced and i think my mom is going crazy.

I'm really sorry to hear this. It's never nice when parents get divorced. If you need a listening ear, you can pm me any time.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I feel your pain beans and Travis + Kim.

I don't know what is going on there.

We've been waiting for our NOA2 almost 5 months now and there have no many with NOA1s after us getting approved. It's very depressing!

Removing Conditions

I feel bad for Travis and Kim too since both our files were received at about the same time, cept mine went to California. Back then, I thought VSC would keep moving since CSC was so slow. :( I hope yours gets processed soon.

I know how frustrating to not have a single touch in 7 months Travis&Kim. Soon, this ordeal will be a thing of the past. Your approval is right around the corner! :)

AOS Approved on 10-17-08 (details in profile)

Removal of Conditions on 07-19-10

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
