I don't understand why stores sell dirty stuff.

We bought a big tv in a big box. The box is filthy, after Mike got through handling it his hands were black. Not only was the box dirty, the bag the tv was in was black with some kind of residue/dirt.

Then today we go and buy some outdoor chairs, just plastic adirondack chairs - they are covered in....something, not just some dust from being in a truck say, but obviously something had been spattered on them - all of them!

This isn't a U.S. thing - as you all know it happens in Canada too - I don't understand why retailers don't care. Or even delivery services, everytime I would get something delivered by UPS in Canada the bag was always filthy.

I hear ya. Does it work, though? lol

It never did work!

He is at the store right now exchanging it.

Or not. They didn't have another one, so they called a neighbouring store and they have one so he could go pick it up. Yeah.

It's 30 degrees here and we have done - or rather my Husband has done nothing but run around since Friday night, moving, cleaning, picking up stuff like hangers and pots and pans and a new plug for the dryer etc etc.

Plus, we have a car, so moving a 42 inch tv around is no small feat.

So he came home before venturing out again and I called Walmart and spoke with the manager - they will try to have one delivered to our house no later than Thursday.

Our internet connection is really atrocious!! It just went down again, that's AT LEAST 5 times today - minimum.

The good news is the portable dishwasher works!

I'm trying to not be too negative, but I needed to vent this stuff

Oh and the first time I went to post this, the internet connection went down again - luckily I copied it

Oh and I have now scrubbed down those chairs outside twice...making progress, smells like it's like miracle grow or something like that on them.

Ok, enough venting!

It has been almost 6 months since AOS interview and still no Greencard. I dropped of the TB skin test results, so hopefully I will get it soon. I'm not really that worried- but it is a pain not having having it yet,

nope not since my last pregnancy... i miss it so too.. I did try those lactaid pills and they did help a bit... I just haven't gotten around to buying more.. but I am still not sure that they actually work because the last one I took with my milk awhile back didn't help...

I can eat cheese and ice cream with no problems though.. the only time I have issues is if I drink a glass of milk

I have a similar issue with dairy. It is not a lactose problem. The milk protein molecules are too large for my digestive system to handle easily. Cheese, yogurt, and ice cream do not bother me as much because either the active bacteria has already taken a few punches at the milk, and cream (as in ice cream) has higher fat content and lower protein content than milk does.

Are there any other forms of protein that your body doesn't care for?

Have you tried soy milk? It isn't exactly like milk but with the flavourings it is quite tasty and can be used in any other ways you would use regular milk. Just don't try to use vanilla flavoured in tea :P !

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

not that I am aware of.. did your milk problem come on kind of suddenly or have you had that problem your whole life?

I drink very little dairy, but take cream in my coffee. I eat plenty of dairy other ways though. I've tried Soy milk and it's very good. It's preferable to drink Soy if you're peri or post menapausal as well and suffer from hot flashes and night sweats.
