are you sure??

I heard some people sent it and got an RFE.

Yes, I'm sure. I'm among a number of people who did it that way, with no resulting RFE. The RFE's come because some USCIS workers don't know policy & procedure as they should.

Here are your options.

Here's an explanation.

Here's the civil surgeon who will do it for $10:

Dr. L.E. Arnold

4534 Westgate Boulevard, Suite 106

Austin, TX 78745

Tel: (512)444-3131

Fax: (512)447-4699

Well I don't have a choice anyways.

All doctors are telling me they don't just transfer information over.

So I will send this document.

Ok I need to vent about the NVC - again.

As of today they have had our file for 5 months. They have had all required documents since October 9th - almost 6 weeks - and yet they are just sitting on it.

Now I understand they mess things up periodically, it is the nature of the biz. What I don't understand is that when you call to have it escalated to a supervisor it takes 10-15 days for them to even look at it.

Obviously something is wrong here, whomever has our file on their desk has fallen asleep, or wandered off or quit.

I mean reaaaaallllly.

Not that I know anything (1st yr RN student) But I aint going to sign off on another medical procedure (physical) that some one else did, simple as that. I have no clue what is required for the AOS, as I was a CR-1, but I can see why a Dr would not simply transfer over physical results completed by another DR. he didn't do the work, thus he can't sign off on them. Again I'm not sure on what u guys require, I'm just chilling, lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

That warranty can be useful at times. Normally I dont buy it, but a few times at bestbuy they offered the warranty to me at a discount price, and just my luck, the MP3 player broke. Was a simple exchange.

I dropped my maid of honor today.

I told her two weeks ago that we were going to be going to look at dresses on Sunday, December 2nd. I chose a Sunday because she said she was always free. I made an appointment and my husbands cousin is coming down too and we were all supposed to meet and go find bridesmaids dresses.

And yesterday I emailed her to remind her and she's like: "Ugh I have to work"

She has made 0 commitment to this entire thing. She has done nothing to help.

She has also hasn't been very supportive. When all that ####### happened last week with my brother in law she told me to get a divorce...#######??

She also said we should do a spa day before the wedding and make my husband's parents foot the bill.

I think she was in this more for herself than me.

I think you made the right decision  Friends are supposed to be....well friends. I don't feel like she was supportive of you whatsoever, and in fact reminds me of the bridesmaid Liz was supposed to have...

OK, vent needed. The FOOOOCKERSSS at Alberta Health Care slammed us yesterday with a 400 bill for services on October 2.- WTFREAKINGFUKKK? We were en route to Seattle that day dammmmmn it. I called our physician (aka Dr. Love) and left him a message as in:

"Hi Dr. Love, this is us [insert Len and Bren saying Hi T.... quite cheerfully]. the ##$% - we think your billing secretary (who was always a b!tch and me thinks had the hots for Bren, the putrid hag) made a mistake, please give us a ring, etc."

now mind you, Dr. Love is Dr. Love for a reason - he is one of those few who goes above and beyond, so i thought I talk to him before writing one of my famously verbose letters to the AHC idiots telling them to grab their bill an shove it where the sun doesn't shine. OK, end of rant.

Lenina, wishing she was less insane (ok, not really.)

So, SSA sent me a letter today basically saying that my visa paperwork doesn't show lawful status, so they can't issue me a card. #######? They took five weeks to tell me that?

I hate how SSA is basically making me jump through hoops because they're illiterate and can't read the photocopied stuff that they took when I applied. Driving around with my BC DL has made me super paranoid and I'm worried that the five-o is going to pull me over and yell at me. <_<

Seriously, if my I-94 expires while we're trying to fix this fiasco and they tell me I can't get a SSN because of that, I'm going to throw a major fit in the branch. The world is going to feckin' explode.
