Its just seems that more and more ppl in charge of our kids just dont give a dam, its sad. We shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail to get help for our kids.

Agreed big time. Welcome to the Land of the Free, have a nice day. OH WAIT! No health insurance? Give me back the nice and have a so-so day :unsure:

I tell you sister....IF we could afford it, I would quit and homeschool for a bit...til I could either get a job in a more congenial school system or could afford other educational avenues. I'm not a homeschool forever advocate, but I do think it has its place for a temporary solution to a problem such as this.

Holy Toledo.. i was JUST thinking I had not seen a thread closed in a while but i think I spoke too soon! :P

WOWZERS is all I can say.. :blink:

So.. here's my vent for today..

I have an "absent" landlord.. by that I mean he doesn't live in the US, he has a real estate agent take care of the place and arrange for work to be done. the problem with her is that she never returns our phone calls, never does what she says she is going to do and last week we called because there was water seeping through the ceiling in our bathroom, and she JUST called hubby back last night (a week and a couple of days later) and said she was "away" in New Jersey. Excuse me? NJ doesn't have telephone reception there? I don't think it's an excuse at ALL to be on vacation and not be able to answer a telephone!! *sigh.. so now we've got an ugly ceiling that is moist and red (me thinks from the pipes perhaps), and no answers.. UGH Her plan of action? she's going to call the neighbors upstairs and see if they over filled the bathtub.. that was last week gal, they probably don't even remember!!!!! :bonk:

I'd be marching myself into her office for a face to face! You know, since her phone obviously doesn't seem to work on a consistent basis and all....

Seriously, have you checked into your rights as a tenant? What does your agreement say about repairs and such? Methinks I'd be checking this out and presenting this to her in person, or even make copies of the agreement with this information highlighted in bright yellow...you know, just in case she's "lost your file" or if her copier doesn't work either... :devil:

I sure hope you and your hubby get this situation resolved. :)

i have to get this off my chest...

I am really peeved at my parents... back in December when I lost my 2nd baby, my mom wanted to come down here but they couldn't make it because of my dad's job but my mom said they would come during the summer sometime... then has the months went by my mom hinted that they would probably not be able to come because of money issues... but then she is always telling me things, like how she let my dad buy himself a motorbike with the last of his mom's money... and then recently she told me that they bought a another car and that they are probably gong to rent a cabin for a week later in the summer or something... :unsure: It makes me feel very unimportant to them...

I really needed to see my parents... :crying: I can't afford to go up to Canada right now ...

I just feel all alone most of the time here.....
