This isn't a life-impacting vent like most of the ones I have, but it's still annoying:

I bought a brand new 22" LCD monitor today to replace my 8-year-old 15" CRT one, and it's majorly defective.

If the store doesn't take it back, I will go postal.

That is all. :innocent:

WOW. Not only did I take it back, but I exchanged it for another of the same model, and THAT one was defective, too!

That's ok, though, because it was a widescreen monitor that I ended up not liking anyway. Instead of getting yet another replacement, I went for a 20" normal square-shaped LCD monitor, which I really like. All's well that ends well. :)

Alright I really need to vent right now...... about my stupid job again.

First off, 24h animal hospital. I used to work some evening/night shifts with the crazy peoples, then couldnt sleep during the day, then got all burned up physically and emotionally... So I told the day supervisor I couldn't handle it anymore and I wanted day time ONLY. And I thought it would get better.

Well kinda did, but all that was available was the late shift, which is 10am-7pm. So I do that 4 days/week and then 9am-6pm on Sunday. Goody. No more night shift to my sleeping came back to normal.

BUT. I am the tech that has to deal with the shift change with the overnight/evening people every single day. And they are a bunch of little bchtes that all they want is the place to look perfect with everything in his place, all clean, and all the stock filled NO MATTER HOW MANY ANIMALS ARE IN THE HOSPITAL, or NO MATTER HOW MANY CLIENTS ARE STILL WAITING.

So EVERY SINGLE DAY, when they come in, they complain about how the place looks bad, what the heck did we do during the day, why the treatments are not all done, why this, why that *&^*&^&^% It's driving me nuts. But during the day, we have to deal with surgeries ( at least 8-10), with the hospitalized animals, with the clients, there is 4 doctors that have appointments all days from 8am to 7pm, etc, etc, etc. We have to deal with that, and sometimes we are only 3-4 techs.

So my last 2 weeks I have been working 9-10 hours straight every single day and the only time I could sit down was when I was at the bathroom. And like it's not enough, last night, at 6:10pm (when I was supposed to be gone at 6pm) I asked that night tech to help me with a cat to get his blood glucose because the cat wasn't standing still, she told me to make it quick because she had other things to do!!!!! SHE WAS ONLY WASHING LITTER BOXES!!!

:angry::girlwerewolf2xn::diablo::protest:

So there, sick and tired of that bullsht. I called sick today and I am going to go shopping for a bikini and go lay by the pool today. I need it. And I am off tomorrow :D

No matter what happens with them, my boss won't fier anybody because there is nobody that wants to work with the night people. They hired 3 people in the past 4 months that quit after 2 weeks. The night shift people are driving everybody crazy. Problem is even if I would want to change job, I know it's the best place in the area to be, all the other clinics have weird ways of treating the animals and they always end up at my place anyways.

Wow girl, you need that break enjoy your shopping and lounging by the pool.

And let yourself leave some tasks for the night shift thats why they have a night shift to pick up where you left off and if they cant handle the work tell em to shove it. You dont get payed to do there job too. And as long as everyone puts up with it they will keep it up. I'm sure you know that already.

Big Hugs enjoy your day

I hate when you have a craving for curry and rice and you take one out of the freezer (I make TV dinners with leftovers) and zap it only to find out it was spaghetti squash with turkey meat sauce.

that is depressing when you really want curry :(

Thanks all for the words :)

Actually was too chill and windy today for the pool side, but hubby took his afternoon off, we went shopping for bike stuff and got a bike rack, so we are going for a trail in a forest preserve tonight :D

Woohoo! Gotta burn off the fat of my legs :D

hugs Krikit!!! It sucks for both the TV Dinner and the evening without your hubby and your power :( But you could always welcome him back with candles

Ok now i'm frustrated here. Well last month after a very long and hard time finding my wedding band, and was almost about to settle for a plain white gold band. When we went into Kay's again but different location i went in thinking I would just get my band and be done with it.

So i tell the girl what i had always wanted, and then she goes right away to pull out a ring and there it was. Well almost i wanted a simple band but with diamonds and rubies in it(you know something different then a regular wedding band). Well what she pulled out was saphires and she said she could have them put in the rubies instead. The first store to even suggest that. Well she said it wouldnt take long to order it and we told her we needed it by the 21st of June and she said no problem it would be in at the begining of June. So we ordered it.

Now as of today my ring is not in, and the sale clerk I spoke to today said its set to be in on the 25th. Well I'm like my wedding is Sat, hes like oh hold on let me talk to the manager. He comes back and tells me the manager is going to call them and see what she can do. She calls me back and says they will get back to her, and how she wants my ring in by Friday. I then tell her that if the sales girl that ordered me that ring told me it would be in on time or i would of never went with that ring .

So thats my sorta vent i'm screaming inside right now and blame myself for being so dang picky i really should of known better thats always my luck.
