and I tried to tell her that I dont care if she gets me anything or not, I would just like her there

cuz right now, it's looking like only Oliver's side will be attending the bridal shower... and I'd like my side to be a part of it too....

especially when my Mom is now retired and is just going to be sitting at home in Mississauga

my dad doesn't care about the money, he wants her to go

he's even thinking now that he might have to fly down with her for the weekend in July so she'll have to go to the shower..

sigh..

Sweetie pie... give DAD a call and talk to him... chances are he will be more able to convince her. As in "Wife, would you mind being the family representative in this bridal shower full of strangers? Liz needs you" or something like that. Which is, after all, true!!!

I'm at my parents' in canada this week and it's our big project: getting mom to come to bridal shower, get her a dress.. trying to get her in some kind of physical activity b/c since she's retired, she's not active at all (been in a depression for the last 1.5 yrs).. and she's put on some pounds and my dad and I are worried for her health since she's approaching her 60's.

sigh, I don't even know what to vent about anymore

She's improved so much in the past 6-9 months compared to where she was before, but I want her to take care of herself, realize her self worth...

10/01/2007: Moved back to U.S.

10/26/2007: I-130 mailed to CA Service Center

10/29/2007: USPS confirmation of receipt of I-130

02/13/2008: NOA-1 received (107 days)

07/02/2008: I-130 approved

07/22/2008: AOS filed including EAD and AP

07/25/2008: NOA-1s for all 3 received

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

I didn't think that you did anything wrong, you just spoke your mind. That doesn't make you a heretic (it's all the other blastephemous ####### you do :lol: ), just someone who points out the shortcomings of Catholic Dogma. Pick a religion, any religion you'll find plenty of shortcomings. :crying::crying::crying:
