about the car insurance

We are with AIG, and since I was able to drive 90 days in Illinois with my canadian license he tried to add me to the insurance. They told him over the phone just to call them back once I receive my Illilnois DL. Then for 3 months we received a letter every month saying they were missing informations to verify my record through the DMV. The second time I sent them a letter with BIG letters saying the number of my license, from QUEBEC, CANADA, even with a copy of it. I still received another letter saying they couldnt verify the informations...

So the day I got my IL DL , I called them up, to be told that the previous informations they had from me didn't match, cause they didn't find that DL number.....in CALIFORNIA!!

CA-NA-DA.....idiots

That happened to me, once, for something else. I got yelled at by the officer saying "WHY ARE YOU IN THE DATABASE AS SAYING YOU'RE FROM CALIFORNIA WHEN YOU'RE FROM CANADA?!!!" like it was all my fault. I politely told her that I believed that their database wasn't set up to accept location information for anywhere other than the US and so the person who entered it finally went with CA just to get me in there. She shut up after that. B:tch.

Then I would have said :"stop being a bee-otch with me because If I wuld have entered the data mysefl there would be no errors!!!"

This is a perfect example of you doing someones job for them. This is another one of my kind-of-pet-peeves. You are talking to someone at some business and you end up explaining to them what their system is probably doing, or in this case, why it was probably entered like that.

I have decided that they should at least pay you like $10 each time this happens

Well I needed to vent again, so here goes...

I'm leaving Friday with just mine and my son's clothes. Well most of them anyways. After all the trips I made down to Georgia and bringing some clothes here and there, I cannot believe how much clothes I have lol. But thats not the issue. I had asked my mom if sometime within the next year or so if she could rent a mini van(she doesnt own a vehicle) and bring the rest of my things down. That way I can get the rest of my stuff, along with her coming to visit us. I told her we would pay for 1/2, she pays the other 1/2. She said she'd think about it. Now, she comes to me asking me when my fiancee and his mother will come all the way up here to pick up my stuff. #######?? I told her I cant leave the country for awhile, plus shes never been to Georgia and shes always wanted to go to Savannah. I told her its not possible for Brian to take time off work and his mother cant make the 2000 mile trip. Shes in her 60's and cant sit for too long. It would take them both 3 times longer than the trip should take. I just told her to throw my stuff out if its that important for her to get it out of her house. Shes basically telling me she won't ever be coming to visit us. I don't know what to say to her anymore. I understand shes pretty much loosing her only child and grandchild, but I'm not putting my life on hold just cause she doesnt want us to leave and thats pretty much what it comes down too. Shes also not even going to come with me and my son to the airport to see us off. I'm doing everything possible not to gloat about us leaving Friday, yet shes just being negative in every way she can. Ok, I think I got it all out lol. I feel a bit better.

Oh well it isn't surprising they'd confuse Canada with California. Both have an Ontario, after all! Okay, I'm being facetious, but it really isn't entirely surprising. When I lived overseas, I had to write a letter explaining my address to the people at my student loan place so they would send things to me there ("Dear sir or madam, please process my change of address, which I sent you 5 months ago. On the second line, ul. is an abbreviation for ulica, the Polish word for street. That is my street address. The third line is the city I live in...." etc...). Yes, people, there IS a world beyond our borders, and shocking though it may sound, there are people who have lived in it!!

Here is my rant of the day. I keep checking USCIS site to see if we've been touched, not because I expect anything much to be happening with our petition yet, but because I'm pretty obsessive. I want a damn touch so I can update my damn signature. Here's the rant part. As I'm sitting there thinking how much I want to be touched the song from Rocky Horror Picture Show came to mind: "Touch-a, touch-a, toucha-, TOUCH ME!!" Worse yet, I'm now making up new lyrics to it:

Touch-a, touch-a, touch-a, touch me

I want my sweet, darling man here

Thrill us, chill us, approve us,

(I'm not sure what to say here instead of "creature of the night" though...)

Worse still, I will have a new version of the entire song by the time I'm back from Seattle. Heck, I may even rewrite the whole show.

Michael Rainey was ill the day the earth stood still

But he told us when we could wed...

Awww. I'm so sorry about your Mom, Mary. She must be really hurting to be lashing out like that. I know it's not fair to you, but give her some time and she'll come around. Sometimes it just takes one person to leave the door open for healing to occur. ((((hugs))))

Darn you, SonoranSongbird! Can't get that song. Out of. My head. *sticks fingers in ears* La la la la lalala

I'm very unhappy because I just finished yelling at the customer service people at my US bank for many many many reasons which are costing me money and I've had it up to HERE and I hate the fact that I yelled and that they don't get it but sometimes I've just HAD IT. So now not only am I unhappy with the bank, I'm unhappy with myself for letting them get to me and I wish we could just start over. :crying:

She can change her mind later on AND she might want to fly to Savannah when she does. Hmm, she is not making things easy though. Sorry to hear it.

Sorry, Krikit. Now that I've gotten the song stuck in your head, I've moved on to dissecting the Cranberries' song "Zombie" which has f^%* all to do with zombies.
