I just spent an insane amount of money because my mom wasn't happy with the very understated blusher/veil I was going to wear for my big day..

Called my mom to tell her that I just went and got a veil and how much I love it... and so on

for her to tell me that's she's "disappointed" in what I got because I didn't get a 2 tiered veil and will still end up using the understated veil as the blusher

I FREAKING WENT TO GET A VEIL IN THE FIRST PLACE BECAUSE OF HER

WHY CAN'T WEDDINGS EVER BE ABOUT WHAT WE WANT

End Vent.

I love the veil I got today and that's the end of it.

Sorry Liz but apparently parents, especially Moms want to live vicariously through their daughters and DILs. Unfortunately, it's getting worse. I'm in total agreement with my sister on this, do what you want to do. :thumbs:Whose wedding is it anyways?

I love the veil I got today and that's the end of it.

My guess is that it's not about the veil. My guess is that your Mom's a little sad and and upset that she's not with you when at such an important time in both your life and hers. My guess is that Mom really misses you and it's coming out in other ways. I'm sure she will love the veil once she sees how beautiful you look in it, and all will be well. (F)
