I hope you're feeling better too Laura! I, thankfully, am not having such a sore throat anymore, but this headache is killing me! You know what else drives me crazy? When your nose is runny and stuffed all at the same time!

OH, and SNOW! We had no snow yesterday. It was a lovely 7 degrees Celsius and NOW, there's 2 feet on the ground and it's still coming down! ARGHHH! I don't typically get scared of winter driving but when it's a white out and you can't see anything in front of you, well, then I get scared!

Oh, and it's not Thursday yet! ~pouts~

I know the congestive draining phenomenon all too well. :crying: Amy, I asume you went to the gym, where lots of people, sick or otherwise, congregate. I really hate it when the ill neglect to cover their mouths when they cough, I don't appreciate it when they want to share. I was giving blood yesterday in a lab with plenty of open-mouth coughers, with my luck I'll probably get TB. :crying:

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean Mumsie. The worst part is that I actually WORK in the gym, as well as work out here. So I'm here all of the time and yes, everyone is sick and sweaty and yuck!

Man, I hadn't thought about it too hard that way before, now I'm dreading the thought of touching absolutely anything in here! ~giggles~

I'm also wondering to myself, when do you just stop pushing? When is working out when you're sick more harm than good? I'm exhausted, but feel the need to work out. I suppose I shouldn't feel guilty if I don't, but I also know I'll probably feel a little bit better if I do! ARGH! Why does it have to be so hard sometimes? (I'm talking about thinking! ~giggles~)

It's like doing heavy squats or leg presses for high-reps and then being barely able to walk. A day later, the endorphins kick in and you want to go again. If you have elevated blood pressure, have trouble sleeping or feel crappy then you're into overtraining for your current condition. If you have a cold, it's hard to tell sometimes. The only thing I've ever heard of working, is to cat knap. Get extra sleep, preferably not when you're on the treadmill :bonk: , that usually helps.

Yup, that's what I've been worried about, cat napping on the treadmill! As it is, I have balance issues sometimes! :P

I've found myself falling asleep while on the bike though this week! Maybe I should give it a rest for a day!

boil water with chopped up lemons (leave skin on) and ginger.

Add honey to taste in your cup.

It's yummy and weird.

A cure all!
