My fiance (now my husband) came here September 8th, his visa expires on December 8th. We were married September 22nd and he just got his social security card. We are now getting our papers together for the AOS. But, I have a question about that...am I the petitioner or is he? That parts confusing to me...and do we both have to fill all the forms out or does just the petitioner. Because with the K-1 visa, we both had forms to complete, and I was the petitioner.

Also, he's a male. He came from being a internet shop owner, to coming here being unemployed...(jobs are rare and hard to find in Michigan), he's lonely and homesick. His family misses him and when they talk, they tell him to come home. I work full time, and when I get home, he's usually cranky and picks on every little thing that makes him unhappy. I knew this would be hard on him, and him and talked about all the different adjustments, but it was different in my mind than the actual experience is. Does anyone have advice for either of us on making this adjustment survivable? We met a fellow filipino a week after my husband arrived, we made friends with him right away, met his wife, and kids, had dinner at their house, and even invited him to our small wedding..two days later I caught this "married" man hitting on my 18 year old daughter, trying to initiate a secret meeting together. This wasn't a good start for Greeko and it broke our hearts.

I know this long, sorry....I have issues I know...lol

as always thanks to all of you for your help and advice

best friends and soul mates no matter what

Debby, your husband will be the one to sign those forms (G-325, I-485...etc.) for his AOS. but you will provide/sign the affidavit of support (I-864), your IRS, W2, letter from your work being the petitioner of his K1. I know how he felt being jobless at the moment, i'm sure he will get over his homesick as soon he get his EAD or AOS approve to find a job. I'm sorry to hear about your daughter as well....try to talk to your daughter with motherly love, don't let that married man destroy your daughter. Goodluck and God bless.
