After a case is completed at NVC, do they send a letter saying the case has been completed?if so how long usually does it take to get this letter.Thanks

We never got a letter from NVC, I emailed NVC once a week and got notice in the reply that they completed and sent case on to the consulate and they gave me the DOS case number.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

i also did not get a letter from the NVC saying case complete. but i did get a letter just today saying that the case has been forwarded to the embassy and to contact the Department of State or Embassy for more information. so it took about 1 week from the NVC case forward message to get this letter.

Isnt the DOS case number the same as the NVC case number? Or, is this another case number to be assigned?

Once the case is completed, the NVC makes the interview appointment with your embassy the second week of each month. You should give them a call then to find out when your interview will be taking place. I did get packet 4 (interview letter) in the mail and so did my husband in Colombia 2 weeks later.

Thanks everybody for your reply. I hope i get an interview date soon cos the usually wait for my consulate is btw 4 and 8 months.I just cann`t wait for this to be over.Congrats and goodluck to those that have interview dates already.
