Hello Everyone,

Me llamo Agustin .....me I'm cuban american born here in the states and living in Miami.

SOooooo here I am the nerd that I am, with help from the internet ( some of you ) I'm taking a shot at this K-1 visa thing without going to a lawyer.

I met this wonderful woman from Colombia on the net over 6 months ago and I'm just crazy about this girl. We've spent what seems to be endless months on MSN cam to cam almost never logging off it feels like she lives with me already ( but not enough of course). I'm 40 now and with her I know I'm finally ready to take the marraige plunge with this person. I told her so . . . she said she'd marry me if I'd meet her family so of course I surprised her and went across the pond twice so far to spend time with her and her family and it's been nothing less than amazing the connection I have with her and her family.

So far we filled out 2 sets of G-325A and a "Fiance Letter of Intent" with her signatures that I have brought back with me. (Should I have had any of that notorized over there).

Anyways Im downloading more documents that I need to file for what seems to be the initial package. Any input or advise would be apreaciated.

God Bless,

C

Welcome to VJ!!!

During the initial petition we did not have anything notarized.

I would suggest following the guides here. That is what most of us do with no problems as long as there are no complications

Good luck on your journey!!!!!

Welcome to VJ (F)

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hi, Agustin. I am also cuban-american; however, I was born back in Cuba, and I am not as young as you. LOL. I hope that your visa petition goes well, for mine is in its final stages. Hopefully my petition will be in Bogota some time this week. By the way, I am truly a nerd (you see I am a web developer, a computer programmer).

I wish you and your fiancee well.
