I am gathering my evidence and I have a few questions.

SHould I send the 1040s and the tax transcripts if I have both?

Should I send the original of cards I recieved in both of our names? I will send photocopies of everything else (except affadavits). are orginals necessary in any case?

None of my insurance cards will put both of our names on them (vision, dental) Is a letter from my employer ok saying we have joint coverage in these areas? THe insurance companies are not being cooperative on this ...I also have some claims with his and my name and the same group number...

thanks!!!

Sounds good to me.

Also you are filing for "Lifting Conditions" Not K-1 as your profile still shows.

Also :time: Yours only shows visa, no AOS, and the Lifting of conditions timelines on this site needs more data, you doing a timeline helps others.

Take a look at the guide here on VJ.

I am a firm believer of "more is better" so make copies and send as much as you can.

Good luck

I personally would send the tax transcripts for the years covering the time you have been married, the letter from your employer, and copies of some of those cards. I don't think I submitted an original of anything, other than the letters of support I got from some friends.

I would suggest sending copies of bills showing joint ownership (for Visa and other credit cards) - Insurance companies generally list the primary on the card only (we have the same issue) but I would send the copy of a statement (or bill from a doctor or lab showing the other party's name for medical/dental services etc.) Good Luck

a copy of a letter from your employer or hr is always good proof when your spouse is covered by your insurance or a beneficiary in any regard. also, docs that show dates ranging over a period of time from the beginning of your marriage to the present may be beneficial.

best of luck
