Anyone IR-1 besides me?

I'm not IR-1. I dont know if thats any faster or not, but its a much better visa. Good luck!

Still no cashed check from CSC. Augh! :crying: I was hoping I would get lucky. I guess I better start praying in full force again.

it's exactly the same except you don't have to worry about removing conditions in 2 years with the IR-1, it's issued for 10 years straight off the bat. Apart from that should be exactly the same in all ways.

Are you 2 both with the VSC? Its looking a bit scarce on here for October I-130 filers with CSC. Hopefully thats a good sign for me.. :jest:

Good luck to you guys....Keep us posted on the process here so we can compare service centers.

Hi I'm Michelle from UK and hubby is from Florida we filed I-130 19th Oct 2007 Texas SC but i hear it's getting re-routed to CSC because the backlog...who knows. We are going to take the I-129F route as it is faster and well paperwork is never ending when u deal with USCIS so either way my hubby and i will be together hopefully by Spring / Early Summer 2008 if we are lucky :)

It will be interesting to see NOA's

Good luck and kleep in touch :)

Michelle

Still no NOA and NO CASHED CHECK!!! :crying::angry:

This sucks cause I can't even get my petition number...which I guess wont give me much answers anyway. But I just want to know that somebody has at least handled my application.

I saw on the CSC timelines that somebody sent in their I-129F the same day they sent in their I-130 and they got an NOA 1 from CSC within a week!! How does that happen? So now I am thinking I should just send in the I-129f and not even wait for the I-130 NOA1. I mean, obviously they have my I130 they just arent sending me a receipt on it yet.

The NOA1's used to come within a few days of when you submitted for any type. That was prior to the mass application surge that happened in July when the fees were increased. Now, it is taking at least 2-3 months to get a NOA1 while USCIC tried to recover from the deluge.

I know but thats not the case with the K1 visas. They are still getting NOA1 and moving right along as ususal.I think thats unfair. It should be first come first serve.

I can't figure out what you are talking about. ALL the NOA1's are delayed, regardless of the visa type. They are all processed together at the mail room in the Service Center. People applying for IR1/CR1 are facing the same delays as the K1/K3 applicants.

Actually Marlita is right - there are many people filing K1s who tell us that on here they already have their NOA1s even though they filed after July/August/September etc.

K3 seem to be facing the same delay as us on CR1/IR1s.

Even Vermont seems to be not to bad with K1 delays.

It seems as though K1 is treated very differently than the CR1/IR1 or K3s. But as it is a different visa so that makes sense. Although as Marlita says, it is very unfair!

I didn't see a thread started in the CR1 forum for October forums like I saw in the K1 forum. Sooooo...I decided to start one! Lets keep in touch, share our stories, filing dates, RFE's, NOA's etc etc.....

I just sent my I-130 off TODAY! Woo Hoo  its outta my hands. I just wanted to get in the mail already and pray for a belssing of an NOA2 by the beginning of 2008. Sent it priority mail to CSC which is 30 mins from my house. Can't wait til I see that canceled check!!

Sent I-130I Nebraska on 10/26; received there 10/29. Check not cashed; no NOA1. Would like to file the I129f but unless check is cashed and the I-130 is forwarded to CA (which is where I understand they are all being processed) can't do.

Ok so I've been searching around and found out that I could have sent in the I-129f at the SAME TIME as the I-130 petition. It seems many VJ'ers are doing it and they are getting NOA1's on the I-129F within a week or so.

Now what to do if you have already sent in your I-130 and have no NOA1....well send in some sort of "proof" that your I-130 is at the service center. Here is a link to the thread I read info on this: link.

Apparently you have should send in a copy of your I-130 check (no need to be a cleared check), a copy of the mail delivery receipt and a coverletter stating how you sent in the I-130 and would like the I-129F fee waived.

I hope this help you all out. I am thinking about this still cause I know that in the end I would rather have the CR1 visa because of money, work and travel restrictions that will face my husband on the K3 visa.

But its still nice to know that I have a choice to start the K3 and then drop it along the way if the CR1 catches up.

hi there im about to file the I-129f without my NOA1 form I-130 but the problem im facing right now is i forgot to make a copy of my money orders check all i have is the pay sub with the confirmation num on it.... i called customer service in immigration and they said that u still have to wait for your NOA1 to be send to u in oder to file the 1-129f bec they said that they have to enter all the informations in the i-130. then the check will be cashed out and send the NOA1.. but in vj i saw some members here filing their I -130 and I 129f together. i dont think u gonna have a problem doing that... as what they states here everything went ok. can i still send the stub of my money order as a proof that i made and send the 1-130 application so i can go to I-129F petition right away please help
