Hello everyone!

We just applied for AOS yesterday (at last)! I was looking for a thread for October filers, but there was no thread after July filers.

Soooo ... lets get together and start comparing our timelines so we can get through this together.

I applied for K1 visa for my fiance ... it took a lil over a year and he got his Visa on July 9th 2007. He got to the US on September 6th 2007. We got married on September 9th 2007 and applied for AOS on October 15 2007.

09/06/2007 - POE @ Los Angeles

09/09/2007 - Married

09/17/2007 - Applied For Social Security

09/23/2007 - Got Social Security by Mail

10/15/2007 - Mailed AOS/EAD/AP

10/18/2007 - Docs received @ the Chicago Mailbox

10/26/2007 - Check Cashed

11/02/2007 - Received Biometrics letter

11/20/2007 - Biometrics appt

11/20/2007 - Touch

11/25/2007 - Touch

01/28/2008 - EAD Approved & AP touched

02/04/2008 - EAD Received

02/10/2008 - AP Received

03/24/2008 - Interview Appt Receieved (scheduled for 05/24/2008)

End is so new ... can hardly wait!

At the interview did he get a letter saying he was temporarily refused? My fiance had his interview Nov 30th and was given a letter saying that and that they would contact him later for his passport. It may take anywhere between 6 weeks and forever for his visa, so I am wondering if the same thing happened with your case. It looks like you waited about 4 months between interview and visa.

I don't know. My NOA was dated Nov. 2 but I sent my application on Oct. 19 and it was received in Chicago on Oct. 22. I consider that October filing.

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

It seems to me that there has been hardly anything going on for October filers. USCIS is slow as hell. I will be sure to send them a thank you note for not being "allowed" to go visit my family for Christmas. Jackasses.

I think this one was intended more to be a discussion while the other one is meant to list dates. The other one has been on the second page all weekend it seems.

If that is the case and one thread is only for list keeping - perhaps the VJWiki can prove to be a great resource for your list and keep one thread simply for discussion.
