New To AOS Filing

We are putting our AOS package together now and I have a couple of questions. I am sure they have been answered here before, but I can't seem to find the answers.

When sending the complete AOS package; how many passport photos do you need to send? The reason I ask is that the Advance parole and the Employment Authorization each require two photos. So do we need to send a total of 4?

Will a photo copy of her Birth Certificate and transalation be enough? Or do I need to send the only original copy I have?

For the I-131, (Advance Parole)>>>Do we need a letter explaining why she will travel? Also for her name on the Authorization; will it be issued in her maiden name so it will match her passport or in her married name?

That is all I have for now, maybe more in the future.

Please submit certified translations for all foreign language documents. The translator must certify that s/he is competent to translate and that the translation is accurate.

The certification format should include the certifier's name, signature, address, and date of certification. A suggested format is:

Certification by Translator

I [typed name], certify that I am fluent (conversant) in the English and ________ languages, and that the above/attached document is an accurate translation of the document attached entitled ______________________________.

USCIS no longer routinely requires submission of original documents or "certified copies." Instead, ordinary legible photocopies of such documents (including naturalization certificates and alien registration cards) will be acceptable for initial filing and approval of petitions and applications.

No explanation why I-131 is being filed other than to visit family in home country. Issued in what ever name you choose, most use married name for AOS/EAD/AP, it does not have to match name in passport. Book any flights in passport name and carry a copy of marriage cert to show why name is different for AP/Green-Card versus passport.

I recommend not sending any original documents, make photo copies. If you get called to an interview take the originals there with you.
