I was wondering that too! Isnt that many ultrasounds considered not good ? I get my first one tomorrow....im just hitting 12 weeks....and that is to only determine how far along i am.....

Filed DCF in Jordan from 7-05 to 3-06, Approved for I-R1.

Immigration Free until 2008.

I was wondering that too! Isnt that many ultrasounds considered not good ? I get my first one tomorrow....im just hitting 12 weeks....and that is to only determine how far along i am.....

There are conflicting reports about whether too many ultrasounds are harmful...but a dr really isnt going to take the chance of doing them if they really are. most times u/s's are used for dating and complications so everyone that has only had limited ones, feel lucky that ure pregnancies are going or went very well.

June 11 05-Married George, civil ceremony in New York

May 30 08-Baby Joshua was born

Jan 15-Back to NY we go...

May 10-made decision not to go back overseas.

July 10-filed for divorce

Jan 11-Divorce final

July 11-1st trip to take Josh to see George

Mar 12-2nd trip to take Josh to see George

hi everybody hope everyone that was sick yesterday is feeling better. I leave for cairo sat :dance: to see my fiance sooooooo happy . Im trying not to pack too much this time. Any packing advice?

How in the world do you get so many ultrasounds?? My doctor did one for each of my boys when I was at 20 weeks! Craziness!

Happy Wednesday everyone - i'm at work catching up on my homework (oh yea did i mention I took the dive and started grad school??) and get some work done while the boss is away. Probably be addicted to VJ too!

i had an ectopic in 2004 and unexplained infertility from 2001 on......also i have low progesterone so the drs want to make sure the baby is going to make it.

drs work different here too im noticing. my friend that is pregnant here gets ultrasounds at every visit, because the drs usually have them right in the exam room.

with my son in 2000 i got just a few ultrasounds in the first 25wks then i got some more at the end because of the size and such.

Jess do you take progesterone supplements? I have low progesterone also and took supplements with both of my sons. I also had many ultrasounds with both. I had miscarriages before my sons - then we figured out the issue that the progesterone supplements seemed to resolve.

My son is now 6 months and extremely healthy. I had about 4-5 ultrasounds throughout the pregnancy.

Thank you. yea i guess i felt a little snappy on the u/s thing, but my hormones are crazy wacky these days.....i am really hoping Inshaa Allah that everything really is going well, as i do feel it is deep down. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow.

If i were in the states seeing my doctor i would have been started on progesterone as soon as i got my positive result. i was on supplements for it when i was pregnant with my son, so i asked the dr about it and she never responded and then when we went to the lab ourself to test it (thank goodness we dont need lab sheets to have things done here :blink: ) and found out its boarderline now we tried calling the dr over and over even her cell and she didnt answer, so my husband said enough and made me an appointment with another dr that specializes in these things for tomorrow afternoon. We are waiting for a Lebanese-Canadian dr to come back from vacation the 20th and i will start seeing him possibly, unless we really feel great with this one we see tomorrow...As it looks i will be here in Saudi until Jan 12th at which time ill be 19wks pregnant and then i will fly to ny and stay there until after the baby is born, i will feel more comfy delivering in the same hospital with the same dr that i had before. Yes the seperation will suck, but we have to suck it up and think about whats best for our baby.

Thanks for all the congrats and i will update tomorrow after i get back from the dr.

I had one at 6 weeks to see the heartbeat and another at 20 weeks. But then I ended up getting gestational diabetes and our son developed an irregular heartbeat around the 30 week mark. So, I had one more done. The irregular heartbeat ended up correcting itself before he was ever born. And our boy is as healthy as can be!! Thank God!

My heart goes out to you because I remember worrying about every little thing. People tell you not to, but it's hard. Inshallah, the ultrasound will be good. I don't know if they can tell the sex yet at 12 weeks. Are you guys wanting to find out?
