Lovely dresses girls! Am I the only one doing just the civil ceremony? Mine will be tiny. Bride, groom, the witnesses, then we´ll take his parents to dinner and prolly do a romantic escape to Culebra Island for the weekend.

No time or money for the big thing, since we´ll use what we´d spend on a big wedding to get our first place, furniture, etc.

We're only doing something like getting married on the beach with family a few friends & then going to dinner... the BIG wedding we wanted we can't have cos we wanted a big do on a cruise ship and he can't leave the country :crying: So we'll wait to do that on our first (or second) anniversary.

Sounds sooooooooo romantic.....

A wedding on the beach did cross my mind, but paying for it from here in the UK was as much as the reception we had... Although probably not as picturesque.... I can't remember exactly why was it that we didn't choose it, but I am pretty sure it had to do with the financial matter....

well... i come from a huge family... lol... so, i have a sister who actually caters AND does the decorations... she will be soooooooooo extremely busy...

i also have a sister who sings... so, she will organize the music, etc...

then other siblings are going in together to give us this wedding... so, not a lot of money out of pocket...

hey... I'm 40 years old... and never been married....

1) didn't trust dev's dad to marry him...

2) lived with my ex

so i especially want to make this a special day... we will have the wedding in my church, so - no fees there other than a donation to the church...

only money being spent will be for the dress... and jamal's ethnic wear... so not sure how much his clothing will cost... i have asked him to find the clothing for him and the 3 groomsmen...

so... hopefully, we will have money left over to take a nice little weekend honeymoon... not sure if i want to go to the beach... or to the mountains...

I think that is a good idea... That's what we had planned at the beginning, but somewhere along the line we decided that we wanted something a bit bigger, and we had a nice little wedding, didn't spend much money and enjoyed ourselves a lot! If you ask me, even though I loved it, there were loads of people I didn't know there, so I would go back to the initial idea of having something smaller and just the people we wanted there....

We are planning our wedding ceremony in the coming May and I already bought my gown (David's bridal as well) I just fell in love with it!

Please have a look at it :)

Carola, that was my second choice gown!!! The only reason why I didn't pick it is cos me & Dave are doing an unconventional wedding & it would be too fancy

How unconventional? I mean, tell us what you're planning... am I being nosey?

:lol: Well we're planning on a 100 people wedding... it was originally 30 people but some how it kept rising along with the time and I don't know how!?.

I'm so excited with my family coming from Venezuela, they've never being in the States.. I can't wait to walk down the aisle with my Dad! (Oh can't I be more cheesy?)

See what I mean with changing mind before wedding? Everyone is showing this site and I go in and true, I won´t get a true bride´s dress, but I was browsing through the social dresses, and found this one that resembles the I had chosen, but would better fit my big hip, I think, so I might do a cross between the two.

Anyway I just mean to say that I want that type of top, behind the neck and all.

Thanks Girls... But you know what? I can't put on weight !!! It wouldn't fit me

If you are like most brides, the last few weeks before the wedding you won't even need to think about putting weight ON, because you'll be running around doing stuff, burning nervous energy, not eating as much....I wouldn't worry about it.

I didn't try to lose anything the last month and still had to have the dress taken in a pinch more at the last minute and even then found that previously I'd only be able to put the dress on by being zipped in...and the day of the wedding I was able to put it on without even unzipping it.

Not at all!!! That was one of my "dreams" as well... They had problems with their flights and I was prepared to cancel the whole thing if my Dad wasn't here to walk me down the isle! But in the end they got here on time! :D

I was so proud of him!!! Bless!! :luv:

That's my daddy just before entering the church, he was helping me with the dress...

I like it too, but I think it will make my hips even bigger. :o This second one doesn´t mark the waist so the hip will be slightly smaller in it.
