I was going to wear this ---> dress to get married (the civil court part only). It has tiny precious stones encrusted on the shoulders, I love it! But I just wore it on Christmas Eve because I saw one that I liked more and that one is being made right now :P

And for the real wedding (the church part)..... I'm still not sure what I'm gonna wear but I'll post it as soon as I decide something! The only thing I know is that I want it to be unique and beautiful (F)

I'm Miss May then!!!! :star:

ohhhhhhh... i love that dress too... and the color is splendid!

Lovely dresses girls! Am I the only one doing just the civil ceremony? Mine will be tiny. Bride, groom, the witnesses, then we´ll take his parents to dinner and prolly do a romantic escape to Culebra Island for the weekend.

No time or money for the big thing, since we´ll use what we´d spend on a big wedding to get our first place, furniture, etc.

Carola, that was my second choice gown!!! The only reason why I didn't pick it is cos me & Dave are doing an unconventional wedding & it would be too fancy

I think that is a good idea... That's what we had planned at the beginning, but somewhere along the line we decided that we wanted something a bit bigger, and we had a nice little wedding, didn't spend much money and enjoyed ourselves a lot! If you ask me, even though I loved it, there were loads of people I didn't know there, so I would go back to the initial idea of having something smaller and just the people we wanted there....

We're only doing something like getting married on the beach with family a few friends & then going to dinner... the BIG wedding we wanted we can't have cos we wanted a big do on a cruise ship and he can't leave the country :crying: So we'll wait to do that on our first (or second) anniversary.

I'll do that too at first! Specially because I want to be able to plan everything so well, and with this visa mess I'm afraid I won't be able to. So the real wedding is only gonna happen about 6 months after I get in the US. Still, I want to make the civil ceremony very special and romantic.... so then we can face the scary AOS! :o:o

OUR COMPLETE TIMELINE

Latest steps:

10/26/2006- Consulate receives case (seriously, one month to receive the case?? BS!), and packet 3 that I sent even before they had received the case.

01/23/2007- Second Interview. VISA granted!!!

01/29/2007- VISA arrived.... no envelope though. I'm gonna contact them and see what happened this time!

01/31/2007- I'll have to send them one last financial support evidence.

02/02/2007- Evidence received by Consulate

02/06/2007- Consulate sends envelope!
