Cassie, that dress was actually one of my finalists...I really loved the design, but couldn't get comfortable with the netting and stiffness underneath the top layer.... :( It would have been too warm for ME for my July wedding...so I went with the light chiffon. I would have never made a good South'ren belle with all their hoops and petticoats...hehehe... It's a beautiful gown!

I DID feel like a princess in mine too though. Every woman should experience that feeling, no matter what it is that makes you feel that way.

okay... i have not made up my mind 100%... I am going back and forth on these two... you guys tell me what you think...

on the one hand... if I were to decide to wear the virginal white... i would NOT want it to be a solid color... thus bringing me to this pic:

White Wedding with a little style!

then on the other hand... i was thinking that i would like to have a little cultural flair... thus bringing me to this dress:

Lovely Lovely Dress!

if i decide to go with the cultural flair... my family also wants to buy their clothing from this same website...

will just need jamal to help me find the cultural clothing for the men!

okay... i'm open for responses... lol

This is the dress I am getting :) Without the ugly glasses of course...hehe

steph... that is sooooooooooo gorgeous!!! you look so lovely!!! and the dress looks fantastic on you!

Sister Peach...OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!! I LOVE IT!!! I love the ethnic choice! It's absolutely gorgeous!!!!! I'd say go for it. I love to see on VJ when women choose gowns representative of their hubster-to-be's culture.....I remember the pics from Stina&Suj's wedding and I just thought it was fantastic that she wore a traditional Indian gown. SO cool!!! GO FOR IT! And it's PEACH!!!

This is my dress. I got it made in Singapore and brought it with me on the plane.

It was not hard to decide on the length, style and type of fabric because our wedding was held in summer and I knew how hot it would be. Comfort was absolutely key. It was also my secret plot to ensure nobody out-dressed me.

My shoes and hair band were made with the same material as my dress. They also had the same beadwork.

PS. Hubby told me after our wedding he was shocked to see me walk down the aisle because for some bizarre reason known only to him, he had thought my dress would be red.
