When submitting documents to VFS prior to interview and during the interview does one need another (recently dated) items of petetioner

-Affidavit Support I 864

-Employment Letter

-Bank Statement

Or is it okay to submit the copies of documents that were previously submitted to NVC during which were prepared & dated by 3 months previously?

I'm getting mix personal messages from friends & family members that Mumbai requires recently dated documents!

I'm leaving to India prior to interview and in process of having all documents ready from my end, i'm a little confused thinking I'll get there and then a request of recently dated information might be needed....

They might ask you for the updated employment letter and the bank statement. I sent my wife the updated employment letter but they didn't ask for the updated letter. I would send it just in case because it is better to have too many things than too little.

I would say Affidavit of Support and employment letter (if you have the same job) would not be necessary. However just to be safe why not include recent pay stubs and bank statement. Usually they don't ask but better safe than sorry!

Once again I was thinking about it I prepared recently dated document such as employment letter & I864 but do i need to ask my co-sponser for recently dated I 864 and bank statement as well????

My co-sponser feels that once submitting to NVC its not needed to prepare again..

I-134 is not for CR case I think... I also have beeen asked to submit same stuff like dimp has been asked... I will be submitting the same documents submitted at time of petition... my wife will get just the latest bank statement .. and we had already made copies of each stuff that we have submitted to NVC... just will download I-864 form again.. fill it and tell wife to sign it again... I think that should be enough with the DS-230 part 1,2...copy of tax returns.. and also the bank statement.

if we look into sample packet 4 ,they have mentioned that we do not have to submit i-864 n related docs. if we hv submitted to nvc already ....then why do we again take the recent dates ones?

It's required to submit ORGINAL I 864 and COPIES of tax returns and Orginal Bank statement to VFS in Mumbai .

everyone has submitted that to NVC so I see no point of why they ask for it again.

I have had mix feedback of having submitting copies of previously dated and that they might ask for recently dated

documents (I864 & Bank Statement)....

therefore I'm putting everything together as I'm flying to India soon..

Just incase I'm gonig to re-do I 864 (new dated) along with newer bank balance

I guess as ELW said its better to be safe than sorry....

I wanted to know if Co-Sponser needs to provide me another recenly dated bank statement & i 864??? I already have copies of the stuff I sent to NVC on co-sponser.

Have anyone ever been asked for co-sponser i 864 at vfs or during interview?????

I do not have experience of co-sponsor but I would think recently dated documents (I-864 & bank letter) are not really necessary. Most of us did not submit more recent documents and had no problem. If it is possible, you can have the co-sponsor send a couple of recently dated pay stubs. Probably no one will ask for it but it will be good for peace of mind. If it is not possible, just bring yours and don't worry about it.

I don't know much about CR-1 but I guess you gave the sponsor affidavit at the NVC level and we gave it at the Consulate level, so you gave it much earlier than us. If they wanted a more recent one I think they would have asked for it but at any rate, provide as much as you can and you will be fine!
