July was a big flood of petition filing, it will be some time before USCIS handles the paperwork from the rush to beat the fee increase.

Receipt Delays

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) advises customers that, due to a tremendous increase in the number of applications filed, processing of fee payments and entry of cases into our tracking system is behind schedule. As a result, applicants can expect notices of receipt to be delayed. USCIS is working hard to deal with the increased volume and has published the following frequently asked questions in order to provide additional information to applicants.

Thank you,

I hear ya! I'm right there too! It's totally crazy! I'll tell you this if I don't get my NOA2 by 11/17/07 (105 day average for Jamaica)...Chuck and Hilary's offices will be getting a call! They increase fees and we get slower service?? WTH??? C'mon, do better USCIS!

The same thing with the US passports...they make all these great changes, but does anyone think to analyze the impact these 'great ideas' have on the current system?? Next time, think ahead...of course hiking up the fees tenfold is going to cause an increase in applications...hire more people in prepartion for it :no::no: !

Anyway, thanks for letting me vent a little.

Take care and have a nice day! :D

Blessed,

Gill

we filed two months before you, and received our noa2 latter about 3 weeks ago, depending on when you filed in july, i guess it would be between the end of november and end of december. hope it arrives soon, they are really slow with the 1st bit! on the plus side we have our packet and the number etc to arrange a medical 3 weeks later so after you do get that they start to quicken up (fingers x'd it will caryy on this way!)
