Hi floridians! I just wanted to say I did see this thread, since we are floridians...

but, to be honest I doubt we would go.

I can guarantee Sujeet would not want to as he has hardly ever participated in VJ and wouldn't feel like he knew who we are meeting. I also don't know everyone so well either that is in Florida and I'm shy too! I hope it doesn't come across offensive, just being very honest! :innocent: I am sure you know where I am coming from! But I am sure it will be lots of fun for you guys! :D

LOL, we don't really know many VJers either...especially not many of the Floridians! I think of this meeting as more of a "We made it through immigration!" rather than a "VJers get together!".

The only weekend i'm booked is July 15th.

other than that it'd be BEYOND easy to drive down to orlando. I'm sure LisaD will come as she's 45 mins away from me :)

Finally finished with immigration in 2012!

Orlando sounds good.....and from reading other posts it seems the best option......so ORLANDO it is.....Now where abouts in Orlando? And what about the waiting for Reinhart and Nani, and Lisa's David as well....wonder if we can get an approximate date/month from them yet? Setting a date is going to be the next thing so as we keep moving forward with this....otherwise it will go by the way of the other threads trying to organise meet ups and never happen.

Well D is coming in 2 weeks but it's going to be a very harried trip here. We are going to look at a few houses/few apts/plan the wedding/and two places want to meet him for a potential employment after EAD.

So this trip is out, but when he gets here again, I'll talk him round. We're just filing when he's here, so I'm guessing he won't be back til early 2007 I'm guessin.

Other than that, I think I'm kinda flexible to come on my own...but it would be cool if we could wait for Munchkins to get here. She's a pisser & would add so much fun to it all. :)

I'm in....the only dates blocked for me are June 15th-24th, I'll be in the UK visiting Russ. So have we decided on a location? Who's the designated Martha Stewart of the group? I can offer suggestions for Tampa. We have great locations like Ybor City, Channelside, or Hyde Park. I'll be more than happy to get additional information out once we decide.

I took Russ to Channelside during his visit in April, to a place called Splitsville. It has great atmosphere for big groups to just have a night out.....martinis, great food, pool and BOWLING. He loved it but just a suggestion.

I don't know what theme we want but I'm okay with the other locations suggested....I heard Jacksonville, actually there's a great place called Dave & Buster's, okay with Orlando too, I'm sure there's great venues and only 45 mins away from Tampa. I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone and creating a FL specific support team. Keep me posted.

ooops I didn't read the entire thread of emails.....looks the we decided Orlando. :)

11/04/05 -Arlene in the UK for business but visits Russ in Chester.

12/16/05 -Arlene returns to the UK for holidays with Russ and family.

12/19/05 -A surprise trip to Paris where Russ proposes on the Eiffel Tower

12/21/05- Arlene turns 40!! Russ's family throws a surprise birthday party in Chester. We surprise them with the engagement announcement :)

12/23/05- Arlene and Russ travels to California to visit Arlene's family for the holidays. We surprise them with the engagement announcement :)

02/10/06 -Arlene travels to Chester UK for Valentine's Day w/sweetie.

02/14/06 - Mail I129 Packet to Texas from Chester UK!!!!

02/23/06- I129 Received by California Service Center

03/01/06 - Received NOA1.

03/04/06 - "Touched"

04/13/06 - Russ visits Tampa for 2 1/2 weeks

05/15/06 - "Touched" and NOA2 Approved

05/19/06- Received NOA2 in the mail

Was too busy yesterday and only just got on today, so just catching up.

I wish we could be there for a meet this year but in all honesty, I think it is going to be Aug/Sept time before we get out there and then we too have to start looking for a house immediately, get myself sorted with my job, Alan's business, so it will be best for us for next year. I will miss meeting you all but have a good one and think of me and raise a glass or two or three :thumbs: ( even more if you want :lol::lol:

Well for those of you who are confused, I just meant Val makes me laugh & is a very cool person :) 'Pisser' as in the American sense not in the boozy kind!

Dave and Busters here in Jax is AWESOME but I'm sure there's one in orlando. I wouldn't be against going to Citiwalk and doing something there. It's a bit more pricey but everything in orlando is
