Well the 20th should work for me if the meetup is in Charlotte, I will have to work that weekend, but I only work until 3pm. If its in Asheville I don't think I'd be able to go. Steve's says he'd be interested in going too, but it will all depend on how's he's feeling by then.

Hello all!

What a great idea!

Although I would be interested in joining and meeting all of you, we are in the first step stages of starting the K-1 process. We also have 4 weddings to attend this summer while Chris is here on visits.

But...I want to offer my help in places to eat in Charlotte and Asheville. I recently moved from Charlotte and I am back in Western North Carolina (very near Asheville) and know the areas very well!

So if I can be of any help please get in touch!

Hope it works out and I look forward to a possible meet up in the future.

Any suggestions for restaurants in Charlotte would be appreciated, I don't know Charlotte really at all, except what's near the airport, and the immigration offices  (all fast food #######)

Something casual but with good food, and not Asian (I'm going to assume that if Steve doesn't like Chinese, he probably doesn't much like Japanese or Thai or or or ;) )

And my other half doesn't eat bird of any kind, so a chicken restaurant won't do either.

I did just find this Charlotte Critic website with lists of restaurants in Charlotte.

This restaurant Jillian's sounds like fun, but potentially noisy.

And here's the Charlotte Restaurant Guide

Well lets see...is the immigration office on what road??

Jillians is a game place..the food is alright. Bar type food. But the fun thing about there is if you are with "strangers" or new people then everyone can play games and laugh and get to know eachother!

Plus they have one at Concord Mills Mall...so you can make a day of it for people who are traveling.

There are other places to eat there....right outside the mall...

I know an Uno's pizza, a steak place, I think a cajun place, an Olive Garden...Those type commercial places!

Plus it is right on 85...easy to get to easy to leave

yeah, I know Jillians is a game place, I checked their website.

I've been to one similar in Toronto called Dave & Busters. Its a lot of fun, kinda like an adult arcade. If you like video games and VR games, its fun.

If not, something quieter may be in order!

It was in the Jillians downtown location. Apparently they bought it. A year ago now I suppose!!

Key Lime Pie...yummy

Now my favorite place to eat in Charlotte is a mexican place called Zappatas. They have several locations but it isn't a commerical chain

I like the idea of meeting at a restaurant near Concord Mills. Easy to get to. Olive Garden is always a good choice.

Hubby says his vote is for Uno's Pizza.

we hadn't actually picked a time yet. I figure sometime after you get out of work might be helpful ;)

My new boss is trying to get rid of me anyhow, so I can just tell him I need the day off and he won't care.
